Week 10 – Free Agent Pickups

QB

  • Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buccaneers

If you’re in a pinch this week, Fitzpatrick gets a revenge game against Jets team surrendering the 7th most points to the position (19.80 per game).  He is a priority add in Superflex leagues with Jameis Winston’s prospects for the next few games in question.

RB

  • Damien Williams, Dolphins (repeat)

Although Kenyan Drake managed a better day on the ground (9-69 yards), Williams had the better fantasy day hauling in 6 catches for 47 yards and a TD while adding 14 yards on the ground.  He isn’t a viable play this week against a tough Carolina run defense but has great matchups in weeks 11 and 12.  He is someone I’m looking to trade if there are suitors.

  • Peyton Barber, Buccaneers

With Tampa getting blown out in week 9 against the Saints, Barber was given a bigger workload and turned it into 54 combo yards and 2 receptions.  CBS Sports reported that HC Dirk Koetter said Barber’s expanded role could continue into week 10.

WR

  • Tre McBride, Bears (repeat)

This is the 3rd time I’ve had McBride in this article.  He and Mitch Trubisky seem to have some chemistry.  Prior to their bye, McBride had 3 catches for 92 yards against the Saints.  I’d expect Dontrelle Inman to see a lot more of the field this week, but I still like McBride a lot, especially in week 10 against a brutal Packers pass defense.

TE

  • Garrett Celek, 49ers

Starting tight end George Kittle has been ruled out this week with an ankle injury.  This opens the door for a dream matchup for Celek who had 2 big games last season and a few halfway decent ones.  Celek gets to go up against the league’s worst defense against opposing fantasy tight ends on the season.  He is a priority add in tight end premium leagues and a potential streamer for Ertz and Kelce owners.

  • Dion Sims, Bears

With Zach Miller out for the year, Sims will take over as the starter.  He is not in play this week with a bad matchup, but he could be started in tight end premium leagues starting in week 12.  If he starts seeing a steady dose of targets, he has a great matchup in week 16 against the Browns.
