2022 Wide Receiver Dynasty Power Rankings

Check out @DarthDbacks Dynasty Power Rankings for Wide Receivers! Where are the 49ers or Jets ranked? This is all about their dynasty future!

I know I love reading power-ranking articles or lists on all my favorite leagues. It’s fun to see where people put your favorite team and why they think the way they do. It’s an excellent mind-flex activity in which you try to compile a list in your head. Here at Dynasty Nerds, we don’t do normal power rankings.

Instead, I’m doing a twist on the traditional power rankings. I’m looking at all 32 teams from a dynasty power rankings viewpoint. I’ll rank each team, viewed from a dynasty fantasy football point of view. This is intriguing because a team like the New York Jets might be ranked relatively low in a typical power rankings list. Still, Garrett Wilson and Elijah Moore in dynasty will raise them quite a bit compared to a regular list. Let’s get started on these Wide Receiver Dynasty Power Rankings. Be prepared for some surprises!

1. Cincinnati Bengals

Three names, six words. Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd. They are just the most absurd dominant trio of WRs that I can think of. I don’t know how a defense can cover all three guys. There’s nothing to say other than this is the BEST trio of WRs.

2. Minnesota Vikings

I think you know why the Vikings are second in the rankings. Justin Jefferson is why. That dude is just absolutely amazing. He carries this team up. KJ Osborn is a WR2 in the making, while Adam Thielen should continue to be good-great for the next couple of years.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are a WR factory. They pump out consistent talent. Diontae Johnson is getting better every year. His dynasty future is fantastic. Chase Claypool has so much talent, and if he can keep his head straight, he will be good. George Pickens is a cheap must-have since he was taken by the Steelers and has loads of talent.

4. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have Cooper Kupp, who should continue to put up astonishing numbers for the foreseeable future. They paired with him newcomer Allen Robinson, who should revitalize his career after leaving Chicago. Van Jefferson makes for a terrific dynasty duo to have on your teams. If they add Odell Beckham Jr. again, watch out.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs are still stocked well with amazing talent at the WR position. Mike Evans hasn’t aged and continues to produce impressive numbers. Chris Godwin is coming off the ACL Tear but will be fine as he enters his prime. Russell Gage and Scotty Miller make for an excellent four-some.

6. Denver Broncos

The Broncos have a dynamic trio at WR, and if KJ Hamler can return to form, they could be four deep in talented WRs. Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy are proven 1a/1b WRs, while Tim Patrick is an excellent story while proving he’s a good WR. All three are great for dynasty.

7. San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are over the Dolphins due to the system they are in and because they have three talented WRs. Deebo Samuel is just perfect. Brandon Aiyuk has the skill to be a WR1 on multiple other teams after getting out of the doghouse. Then, Jauan Jennings looks like a potential steal for the 49ers. They’re in a perfect passing system, too, that the Phins are trying to replicate.

8. Miami Dolphins

Two names – Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Waddle set NFL records as a rookie, while you know how terrific Hill is. It’s hard to think of many WR rooms with a better duo than these two. Their third WR is Cedrick Wilson or Erik Ezukanma, which drops them to ninth.

9. Dallas Cowboys

Ceedee Lamb is a top dynasty WR asset and puts the Cowboys in the top 10 by himself. Michael Gallup and rookie Jalen Tolbert keep them in the top ten as both could impact the dynasty realm in big ways.

10. Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers still have a terrific duo in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Both guys will push for WR1-2 finishes every year. Allen is aging like Larry Fitzgerald and will continue to do so with Herbert as his QB. Keep an eye on Josh Palmer, who could break out this year. All three are dynasty needs.

11. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles made a shocking trade to get AJ Brown on their roster. He’s a dynasty WR1, so that helps their ranking. Devonta Smith is also a big name on your dynasty squad. The drop-off is steep after these two, with Quez Watkins being their WR3. However, hopefully, AJB and Smith paired don’t cause both of their stats to tank.

12. Seattle Seahawks

DK Metcalf is the Dynasty starling on the Seahawks. Disregard the QB; Metcalf is still a top 10 dynasty WR. That’s good enough to put the Seahawks twelfth. Tyler Lockett is getting older but is still young enough to provide multiple years of solid production. The lack of depth is what hurts them badly here.

13. New York Jets

The Jets are building a solid WR room with first-round pick Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, and Braxton Berrios. Don’t forget Corey Davis. However, if I have a dynasty team, I want one of Wilson or Moore on my team. It’s a must-have.

14. Arizona Cardinals

DeAndre Hopkins is still Hopkins despite having an injury-filled year last year and missing the first six games this upcoming season. He will contend for a WR1-tier finish for the next few years. The Cardinals vastly upgraded their WR room with Hollywood Brown, who could become a top dynasty WR now that he’s with his BFF in Kyler Murray. Don’t discount Rondale Moore either to finish out this trio. AJ Green is dust now.

15. Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders added a star in Davante Adams this offseason. He’s a top-two WR in the NFL and a must-have piece if you want to win this year in dynasty. However, his age drops him, and the Raiders a few pegs on this list as their only other WR of note is talented slot-man Hunter Renfrow.

16. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs lost Tyreek Hill but gained Juju Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Skyy Moore, and Justyn Ross. That’s a lot of talent. Juju could be in for a career year, raising his dynasty value, as he’s only 25. Skyy Moore is already valued well in dynasty with a strong future. Even Mecole Hardman’s value is rising now that he could be the go-to deep threat.

17. Buffalo Bills

The Bills have the outstanding Stefon Diggs to lead their WR room. He’s a top dynasty WR. Beside him are the aging Jamison Crowder, a potential star in Gabe Davis, and Isaiah McKenzie. Davis is a mixed bag because he looks the part but is he a star? We’ll see.

18. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are slowly building a strong WR room. Michael Pittman looks like a building block in the NFL and on your dynasty team. Alec Pierce could be that WR2 the Colts have been looking for for a while. Both guys are legit Dynasty WRs. Maybe Parris Campbell is healthy this year? That would be a huge addition.

19. Washington Commanders

The Commanders paid Scary Terry McLaurin, and it’s about time. McLaurin is about to play with the best QB of his career so far, which means he could be in store for a career year. Adding rookie Jahan Dotson only helps, as now McLaurin has an actual healthy WR next to him. Curtis Samuel is waiver food right now. Buy McLaurin.

20. Detroit Lions

The Lions are secretly building a quality WR room in the NFL. Getting Jameson Williams was a steal in the draft and should pay off amazingly in the coming years. Amon-Ra St. Brown has a ton of potential after a wonderful rookie year, but I need to see him repeat it before claiming dynasty gold. DJ Chark has some solid potential too.

21. New Orleans Saints

The Saints still have Michael Thomas, though, after two mostly lost seasons; who knows what form they will get of him. Chris Olave is the new stud WR rookie who will be seeking to establish himself as the leading WR. He’s the name to know in WR. The Saints are 21st, thanks to Thomas’ past.

22. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers finally got a decent QB for DJ Moore! About time! DJ Moore is a bonafide stud at WR. He’s going to ball out. Robbie Anderson is a decent WR2, but I wouldn’t want him in dynasty. Meanwhile, Terrace Marshall needs to rebuild his value after a horrible rookie year.

23. Houston Texans

The Texans have an established proven WR1 in Brandin Cooks, who is always underrated. I don’t get it because he does great every year. They have added two rising players in Nico Collins and John Metchie. Both could easily become WR2/3s in dynasty if health works out. Houston has raised thanks to Cooks.

24. Cleveland Browns

The Browns acquired a WR1 in Amari Cooper, who establishes this room with a dynasty power name. Then it’s filled out with rookie David Bell, who should be on dynasty rosters. After that, I’m not sure Donovan Peoples-Jones or any of their other WRs have any dynasty value.

25. Chicago Bears

The Bears did something to help stud WR Darnell Mooney in the WR room. They got N’Keal Harry to go along with 25-year-old rookie Velus Jones in helping to replace Allen Robinson. Is that enough? I doubt it, and the only reason Chicago is this high is that Mooney is a plus Dynasty asset.

26. Tennessee Titans

The Titans have a veteran WR and a rookie WR to comprise their leading WR group. I don’t think Kyle Phillips or Nick Westbrook-Ikhine will be long-lasting Titans. That means Robert Woods is a strong WR this year, but who knows if he is there next year. Treylon Burks is the dynasty name to know and raises this team’s ranking.

27. Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons just made a dynasty franchise move by drafting Drake London. He’s an early first-round value in dynasty and sets the tone for a rebuild. However, the Falcons’ other WRs are Bryan Edwards and Olamide Zacchaeus, so I’m not sure those guys classify as dynasty names to know.

28. New York Giants

The Giants have two potential building blocks at WR in Kadarius Toney and Wan’Dale Robinson. They have dynasty futures and potential beyond Daniel Jones. Sterling Shepard has proven he can’t survive in the NFL, while who knows what form of Kenny Golladay will show up. Those two are dynasty zeros.

29. Green Bay Packers

The Packers lost Davante Adams and decided to replace him with a swarm of players. They drafted Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, who both have decent dynasty value. Their futures are nice in the short term with Rodgers. You can’t trust Sammy Watkins. Allen Lazard isn’t my idea of a WR1, while Cobb is there to steal targets. Not a lot of long-standing value.

30. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags paid an absolute bag to Christian Kirk to be their WR1, so that raises his dynasty outlook mightily. As for the rest of the WR room, well, that’s an eyesore. Marvin Jones is past his prime, Zay Jones got paid for an outlier year, and the memes about Laviska Shenault explain enough. Kirk is a rough WR1 for dynasty.

31. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens losing Hollywood hurt their dynasty future. Rashod Bateman is a talented WR with great dynasty potential. Get him on your team. I don’t think Devin Duvernay or James Proche have much dynasty value on a run-first team.

32. New England Patriots

The Patriots have become a team devoted to the run, tight ends, and paying average WRs above market money. I don’t think Nelson Agholar, Tyquan Thorton, Kendrick Bourne, or DeVante Parker have some sort of dynasty future. Bill Belichek doesn’t have the best drafting history, and I only want Jakobi Meyers on my dynasty team.
