Hey IDP Nerds! We’re coming down the home stretch of the regular season, so let’s see who you might look to add to give your team the push it needs to make it to the playoffs. I’ll cover each of the three main IDP positions, and, as usual, I’ll be using the Dynasty Nerds preferred IDP scoring system, IDP123.

Defensive Line

Leonard Floyd, LAR

Week 11 Stats: 51 snaps (89%), 26 pts

Floyd has 5 sacks in the past four games. Couple that with consistent playing time, and you have a recipe for success. He’s available in several leagues still, so look to add him for 3-5% of your FAAB.

Carl Granderson, NO

Week 11 Stats: 49 snaps (77%), 23 pts

Cam Jordan missed the first game of his 12-year career due to an injury. It’s looking like he might miss more time, and Marcus Davenport is also dealing with an injury. Carl Granderson filled in nicely in Week 11 with 7 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Carl Lawson, NYJ

Week 11 Stats: 31 snaps (49%), 14 pts

Lawson seems to have bounced back from his Achilles injury but has been somewhat inconsistent. He has a lower-than-ideal snap share and a low tackle floor, but he has a matchup with the Bears coming up, and Justin Fields has been the most sacked quarterback in the league. Then he gets Kirk Cousins, who has also been sacked quite a bit. He’s a solid streaming option for a playoff push. You can add him for nothing/minimal bid.

Linebackers

Kaden Elliss, NO

Week 11 Stats: 59 snaps (92%), 33 pts

Pete Werner has a significant ankle injury, and Kaden Elliss has stepped in nicely. He had double-digit tackles and 1.5 sacks in Week 11. As long as Werner is out, Elliss is startable as an LB2/3. I mentioned him two weeks ago, but now you’ll have to drop a decent amount to acquire him… maybe 8-11%.

Krys Barnes, GB

Week 11 Stats: 44 snaps (67%), 25 pts

Last week, Isaiah McDuffie filled in for the injured Devondre Campbell, but this week Krys Barnes stepped in. He had 12 tackles and a sack. He’s worth an add in deeper leagues should Campbell miss more time with his knee injury.

Alex Singelton, DEN

Week 11 Stats: 43 snaps (65%), 22 pts

As much as it pains me, Alex Singleton keeps finding his way back into a starting role. Jonas Griffith has been sent to IR, which leaves Singleton to soak up tackles. He had 11 this past week. Add him again, and fire him up.

Defensive Backs

Patrick Peterson, MIN

Week 11 Stats: 60 snaps (83%), 14 pts

Seasoned veteran Patrick Peterson has been having a pretty solid season. I don’t typically suggest cornerbacks for defensive-back-only leagues, but there are still several corners worth adding. Peterson is currently DB18 for the year and has a decent tackle floor and pass-defended number.

Charvarious Ward, SF

Week 11 Stats: 60 snaps (88%), 21 pts

Ward has had double-digit points in all but three weeks. He has a decent tackle floor with some impact play potential. You can add him for a minimum bid.

Roger McCreary, TEN

Week 11 Stats: 61 snaps (100%), 8 pts

McCreary is a rookie you can add for future uses. If you have cornerback only slots, he’s a solid option. He even has value in defensive back only leagues.

The Wrap-Up

I hope these players can help you through the upcoming bye week and the recent slew of injuries.
