This is our Dynasty Nerds Devy team’s (#DevyNerds) August Devy mock draft. We will do one a month, and now we can give you some Dynasty Nerds Devy average draft positions (ADP). Devy Mock Draft Format
Here is the setup. This is a Devy Mock draft; no high school players are allowed. The format is a twelve-team Superflex (SF), PPR & Tight-End premium (TEP) league with standard roster construction.

Round 1
Round 1 Dynasty Nerds Devy Spotlights: Bijan Robinson, TreVeyon Henderson, Kayshon Boutte, C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Zach Evans, Caleb Williams, Braelon Allen, & Quentin Johnston.
This is our third Devy mock, and as you can imagine, it’s the same cast of characters at the top. I’ve already written enough about these guys in June & July, so I’ll pass on that and focus on picks vs. ADP. The biggest mover in 1st round was Kayshon Boutte from an ADP of around pick six or seven, all the way up to pick three. I’ll let Mikel explain his pick in the rosters section later, but I like it. I have Boutte as my #1 Devy WR this year.
Round 2
Round 2 Dynasty Nerds Devy Spotlights: Sean Tucker, Marvin Harrison Jr., Nicholas Singleton, Jordan Addison, Brock Bowers, Jermaine Burton, Donovan Edwards, Tyler Van Dyke, & Luther Burden.
The biggest faller vs. ADP in the 2nd round is Jordan Addison. He dropped from a late-1st round ADP to the mid-2nd round in August or about seven spots. As usual, Noah swept in and scooped up the value at pick 2.05. Not sure why Addison fell a little as the setup seems to be pretty good for him coming into this season.
Marvin Harrison Jr. continues his positive trajectory and is selected about three spots higher than his June/July ADP, continuing to be picked higher and higher. But the biggest mover in this round is Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke. Van Dyke moved from a mid-4th round selection in the previous two months to a late-2nd round pick. Jumping over ‘my guy’ Anthony Richardson to be the fifth QB off the board.
Round 3
Round 3 Dynasty Nerds Devy Spotlights: Will Shipley, Anthony Richardson, Michael Mayer, Cedric Tillman, Branson Robinson, Will Levis, Michael Trigg, Parker Washington, & Mario Williams.
The biggest riser vs. ADP in the 3rd round is RB Zach Charbonnet at UCLA. Charbonnet went undrafted in the June/July mocks to mid-3rd rounder in August. Also, Cedrick Tillman and Will Levis jumped up from 5th-rounders to the early/mid-3rd round. And the biggest faller vs. ADP in this round is Raheim Sanders, who fell about eight spots from his June/July ADP.
Round 4
Round 4 Dynasty Nerds Devy Spotlights: Rakim Jarrett, Evan Stewart, Devon Achane, & Kendall Milton.
Cue my typical fourth-round comment: we’ve reached the part of the draft where we are less worried about how players match up vs. ADP; it’s more about getting your guys. That said, there weren’t any reaches in this round; mostly, people just picked up value vs. ADP. Jaydon Blue, Kendall Milton, & Ja’Corey Brooks were all selected double-digit picks below their June/July ADP.
Round 5
Round 5 Dynasty Nerds Devy Spotlights: Tyler Harrell & Deuce Vaughn
And round 5 is our final round in this mock. We had two new guys in this round that we hadn’t seen in either of the June/July mocks. Those were true freshman RB Andrew Paul at Georgia (he makes it three RBs from Georgia in this mock). And, lighting in a bottle, RB Deuce Vaughn of Kansas St.
Just like in June/July, there were a lot of Ohio State (6), Alabama (5), Texas (4), & Georgia (4) Devy players selected. And a few other schools had three players taken each.
Roster Evaluation
You have seen how each round went down; now, let’s look at each team’s roster. It’s just as important and informative to see the roster breakouts as it is to see the draft order. When you look at it from the roster perspective, you can get an idea of how you can build a Devy pipeline of all different shapes. Look at the Rosters picture above for some excellent examples of building an effective Devy squad.

“In devy drafts, I’m usually team 0QB and look for high ceiling guys, which is why I went Boutte over Gibbs in the 1st. I’m very high on Edwards with his pass-catching ability, plus he is in line for a large workload even as the 1b this year in Michigan’s offense. I typically don’t take TEs in devy, but Mayer in the 3rd with the TEP was too good to pass up. I finished up with 2 WRs as I usually do a better job projecting them forward than any other position.”
Erik Stuer (@Erik_Bubblehead)
“I was thrilled to get my RB3 in devy at the 1.10. To top that off, I got the next best player on my board five picks later in Quinn, the Mullet, Ewers. 24/7 sports gave Ewers a perfect rating for a reason, and there are great weapons around this talent. Rahiem Sanders may be unknown to everyone, but he’s huge, very fast, and a good runner. Expect the Red Rocket to run all over the SEC as a sophomore. I snagged two more QBs with my last picks targeting Devin Leary, who is a sleeper for a top 50 pick in the 2023 NFL draft, and got Drew Allar, my #1 QB in the 2025 NFL draft class.”

“My only minor concern with Bijan was his speed, but he’s apparently hit 22.3 mph in camp, so he’s close to a flawless prospect. Burden is far off, but he’s going to be featured right away, and his value is just going to go up. Styles and especially Paul, I could have waited on, but I expect Styles to be the featured receiver at ND, even more than Mayer. Paul had supposedly already passed more heralded freshman Branson Robinson on the depth chart and was in line for carries… but he just tore his ACL. For a couple of days, though, this was looking like a great pick!”
