Week 2 was chalked full of injuries, so win or loss, if you survived with healthy players, that could be a win for your season. After Week 1, many owners overreact, but Week 2 is another set of data. Do we see a legitimate trend or was it just a boom or bust week?
In this article, I will not be hyping up players whose production came solely from touchdowns. I care much more about targets and touches. Additionally, I will also not be knocking anyone who picked up an injury. Obviously, missing weeks will cause a player’s stock to drop, but anyone can identify that. Here are my NFL Week 2 risers and fallers.

3 Players Stock Up
TreVeyon Henderson | RB | New England Patriots | Age: 23.9
In TreVeyon Henderson’s 2026 debut, he dominated the workload in the Patriots backfield. His 16 carries vastly outweighed Rhamondre Stevenson’s 6 carries. Henderson turned those 16 carries into 76 rushing yards and a touchdown. This performance was highlighted by a 39 yard touchdown.
Henderson’s stock was lowered by the fear of a 50/50 split of the Patriots backfield. If he’s closer to a workhorse, his value will skyrocket. I would still like to see him utilized more in the receiving game. He had 0 targets in Week 2. Henderson has shown talent in this area, and greater receiving usage would boost the Patriots offense and his fantasy value.
Rashod Bateman | WR | Baltimore Ravens | Age: 26.8
After a pretty miserable Week 1, Rashod Bateman stepped up in Week 2. In Ja’Kobi Lane and Zay Flowers’ absence, Bateman established himself as Lamar Jackson’s most dynamic receiver. He rarely came off the field against the Saints, and Bateman turned 9 targets into 7 receptions, 88 receiving yards, and a touchdown.
As long as Flowers and Lane miss time, Bateman is a startable flex option. Once Flowers or Lane return, Bateman may maintain a role, but once both are back,I doubt Bateman will maintain consistent volume. He needs to perform at a high level while he has this month-long opportunity to gain future opportunities on the Ravens or the trade market.
Dalton Kincaid | TE | Buffalo Bills | Age: 26.9
Dalton Kincaid showcased flashes of potential over his career, but he’s never been a week in and out consistent fantasy producer. That trend has changed this season. He’s developed into Josh Allen’s most reliable receiving weapon.
Kincaid led the Bills in targets against the Lions. After racking up 130 receiving yards Week 1, Kincaid accumulated 95 receiving yards and a touchdown Week 2. At the moment, you can probably get him on your dynasty team for an early 2nd or a 2028 1st in TE Premium leagues.
3 Players Stock Down
Jordan Addison | WR | Minnesota Vikings | Age: 24.6
Jordan Addison had some hype surrounding him as a WR3/flex option entering the season. Talent has never been the question. He’s lived in Justin Jefferson’s shadow with horrendous QB play over the last few years. After a nothing-burger Week 1, Addison grabbed 2 catches on 5 targets for 21 yards.
Until something changes, Addison is unstartable. I still believe in the talent and would try to buy him as a rebuilding team. He’s only 24 years old and a very nuanced route runner. Addison’s contract expires after the 2027 season, and a new situation could boost his stock.
Luther Burden III | WR | Chicago Bears | Age: 22.7
One of the most hyped players of the offseason, Luther Burden III has been incredibly dissapointing so far this season. His Week 1 performance showed flashes, with 5 catches for 63 yards. Week 2 was miserable. Burden only had 3 catches on a respectable 7 targets and only put up 32 yards.
Burden’s stock won’t get a boost anytime soon it seems. Caleb Williams went down with a hamstring injury. Tyson Bagent is a solid backup QB, but I can’t imagine Burden turns into a fantasy stud with Bagent. The Bears offense as a whole will likely take a step back until their superstar QB returns.
Kyle Pitts | TE | Atlanta Falcons | Age: 25.9
After finishing as TE2 last season, Kyle Pitts has had a horrific start to the 2026 season. After laying a goose egg Week 1, he barely improved with 1 catch for 15 yards in Week 2. The main culprit to blame is the Falcons revolving door at QB, and there is no light on the horizon. Even if Tua Tagavailoa gets healthy, he wouldn’t offer much of a boost.
Hopefully, Michael Penix Jr. can return at some point this season. Even though Penix is not the most accurate QB, he had a decent connection with Pitts last season. Otherwise, the next opportunity for a rise in stock would be next season. The Falcons are sure to target a QB upgrade in the 2027 NFL Draft. It seems 2026 will be a down year for Pitts, and I would attempt to sell him if I had him on a contending team.
