Exploring the Rosters | Manager Q&A | Nerds App League

Let's go! It's time to reveal the rankings for Dynasty Mode and Contender Mode. Our managers answer your most burning questions on strategies, overall approach, and roster construction. #NerdHerd

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand welcome back to the next installment of our series breaking down the new Dynasty Nerds App League. For those who missed the announcement, the Nerds App League is an exclusive fantasy football league created by Dynasty Nerds. The league brings together 12 of your favorite Dynasty Nerds podcasters and staffers in a high-stakes, interactive competition. The Nerds App league isn’t just about bragging rights. It’s going to be a dynamic platform where the #NerdHerd community actively shapes the outcome by voting to eliminate two managers each season.

With a unique format that includes a 30-player roster, 12 starting spots, and a blend of traditional and innovative scoring rules, the Nerds App League offers a compelling blend of strategy, community engagement, and entertainment. In this article, we’ll take an in-depth look at each team’s roster, analyzing their strengths, weaknesses, and potential strategies as each manager vies for the coveted inaugural season championship.

The Startup Draft | Nerds App League

The startup draft was everything you would expect from a league full of sharp minds and seasoned fantasy veterans. From early positional runs on quarterbacks and wide receivers to late-round steals, every pick was a calculated move. Managers navigated snipes from colleagues who know each other all too well—forced to adapt on the fly—laying the foundation for what we each hope will be a title-contending roster. Incorporating the upcoming 2025 rookie picks (shown in the graphic below where each kicker represents a rookie pick) added another interesting layer of complexity. All in all, it was a masterclass in dynasty drafting with no room for error.

Dynasty Mode Rankings

According to the Nerds App, dynasty values across our new league are remarkably even. It’s quite a testament to how competitive this league is already coming out of the startup draft! With no clear front-runner in Dynasty Mode, it’s truly anyone’s championship to bring home. As the rookie draft wraps up and trades start to fly, these values will shift, but don’t underestimate the role of savvy trades, roster management, and good old-fashioned luck in shaping the eventual champion.

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

Contender Mode Rankings

While dynasty values are evenly spread, the Nerds App Contender Mode tells a slightly different story. There seems to be a more noticeable spread here, with a clear top handful of teams emerging as early favorites and a few teams at the bottom with some work to do. Of course, things can change quickly in dynasty fantasy football. Rookie picks, trades, and in-season moves will shuffle the deck. It’s a long offseason, and every manager still has a path to contention.

Q&A | Roster Breakdowns | Nerds App League

Matt Cooper | @CouchScoutsFF

Dynasty Rank 1 | Contender Rank 6

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? I was one of the last to choose my draft spot, but I was glad to be on the back half of the draft, since it is a 3rd-round reversal (3RR). I was trying to take the best player available and build a young roster with upside. I definitely leaned into the scoring with tight ends getting twice as many points per reception as receivers do.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? I think Trey McBride in the 3rd round with this scoring was the best value. I had already taken Brock Bowers, but couldn’t pass on the value of Mcbride.

Would you change any of your selections? Not really. I might have reached slightly on Matthew Stafford, but he was the last QB I felt really comfortable putting in my lineup every week. I wasn’t up again for 16 more picks, and I didn’t want to chance it. In the 10th round, I took a rookie pick hoping Jonnu Smith would make it back to me, and he didn’t. Not the end of the world, though.

How would you describe your roster construction? Heavy on TE and WR. I felt that the value falling to me wasn’t at QB. I faded it more than I’m generally comfortable with, but I kept thinking that I would be passing on a difference maker at another position for an average QB. I also faded RB, but I have a lot of rookie picks in this strong RB class. I will address that position, and I have plenty of ammo for trades.

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. I give my draft a B. Rich sniped me on Justin Herbert, and I saw a tier break at QB after that. I faded the position and took CeeDee Lamb. That ended up drastically changing my draft, and I’m not totally comfortable with where I ended up at QB. However, I’m young, with a lot of pieces that others will want, plus I have plenty of draft capital. I also was able to draft strong veteran producers late with Stafford, Davante dams, Keenan Allen, and Adam Thielen. I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself though to nail the rookie draft.

Word from the Commissioner

Matt’s team is rated as the top team in the Nerds App Dynasty Mode for a reason. His wide receivers are the envy of the league, and he has perhaps the two best young tight ends in the NFL on his roster in Brock Bowers and Trey McBride. There is risk here, though. His quarterbacks range from the unproven (J.J. McCarthy) to the old and uncertain (Matthew Stafford and Aaron Rodgers.) This team’s success also relies on [spoiler!] Omarion Hampton being what dynasty managers all hope him to be. It will be interesting to see if Matt can find the right trades to improve his team at running back and quarterback given the overabundance of talent he has at wide receiver and tight end.

Rich Dotson | @DynastyRich

Dynasty Rank 2 | Contender Rank 9

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? To dominate my fellow Nerds and to get Malik Nabers. The first is to be seen and the latter was a failure. Let’s hope my plan is 50% correct.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? The upside of Rome Odunze in the 5th round.

Would you change any of your selections, how so? I don’t think so, but a small part of me wishes I took Kenneth Walker over Rookie Pick 1.08. Let’s see who I get there before I shed a tear. (Rich went on to get Quinshon Judkins at 1.08 in our rookie draft. He says he’s still 50/50 until he sees where Judkins is drafted.)

**How would you describe your roster construction? “**Handsomely Young”

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. I’ll give myself an ****A, because I’m not gonna hate on myself so soon.

Word from the Commissioner

I think Rich’s team is amazing. It will likely go undefeated and win the next five championships. (Hi, boss!)

Obligatory brown-nosing out of the way, I am actually not a fan of Rich’s team. Not only does Rich’s roster have just two starting quarterbacks, but both Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence have shown limited fantasy upside in their careers. Herbert and Lawrence both finished outside the top 12 fantasy quarterbacks last season. At running back, will Saquon Barkley be able to repeat last season’s success? Given the sheer number of carries in his deep Super Bowl run, history says no. Even at wide receiver and tight end, Rich has a lot of uncertainty. If Kyle Pitts regains his rookie form and if Marvin Harrison and Rome Odunze break out, this roster could cook, but I think there’s just as much of a chance that it falls well short of Rich’s lofty expectations.

Tristan Cook (@TheTristanCook)

Dynasty Rank 3 | Contender Rank 8

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? Given the 3RR, I wanted a late pick. I chose the 12th spot, so I could have back-to-back picks. Also, with the 3RR, I wanted to be able to take two players in the same range with each of my turns.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? Jordan Love at 3.01

Would you change any of your selections, how so? No

How would you describe your roster construction? Balanced but light on draft capital. I don’t have much depth at QB.

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. I give myself an A-, as I think I have one of the most balanced teams in the league. I love my starting lineup, but I am going to be in trouble if either of my quarterbacks go down. There were a few players that were taken just before I was up to pick, so I feel like I didn’t get my favorite option at each selection. However, overall, I am very happy.

Word from the Commissioner

Anchored by Malik Nabers and Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tristan is correct when he says this team is well-balanced. Will a balanced roster lead to fantasy immortality, though? Like Rich’s team, Tristan roster seems weakest at quarterback, and to me, that is a red flag for a Superflex team. While I agree getting Jordan Love at 3.01 was a great pick, neither he nor Tua Tagovailoa finished as a top-12 fantasy quarterback last season. They both spent time injured, so what’s the plan if that happens again? Hopefully it isn’t Kenny Pickett. Tristan’s running back and tight end stables fall into the good-but-not-great category, so I’ll again have to disagree a bit with our Nerds App on Tristan’s chances of ultimate success this season.

Nick Piovano (@DynastyStump)

Dynasty Rank 4 | Contender Rank 11

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? I didn’t choose my draft spot, as I had the last pick in our draft derby. I soon realized I would need to take a wide receiver in round 1 and then figure out quarterback.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? Tucker Kraft at 10.07, because both Jared and Garret wanted him.

Would you change any of your selections, how so? If I had to do it over again, I would have drafted a running back in rounds 7 and 11.

How would you describe your roster construction? High-end wide receiver and a good quarterback duo.

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. I would unfortunately give myself a C-. I typically do not draft this early in the offseason, and I did not go in with a plan.

Word from the Commissioner

While there is probably a joke to be made about Nick being a Jets fan and going into the draft without a plan, I think he is being too hard on himself with his team’s grade. I actually rather like his roster. Kyler Murray is a decent-enough fantasy quarterback, and if Caleb Williams can take a step forward this year under Ben Johnson, Nick could have two top-12 quarterbacks to start each week. Justin Jefferson can single-handedly win fantasy weeks, and outside of his running back group, I think Nick might finding himself happier with this roster by the end of the season than he is at the moment.

Jared Wackerly (@JaredWackerly)

Dynasty Rank 5 | Contender Rank 7

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? Entering the draft at the 8th spot, I aimed to secure a top-tier wide receiver, and I was thrilled to select Ja’Marr Chase—especially in a league requiring at least three starting WRs. This aligns perfectly with my strategy of always building a strong receiving corps. As the draft unfolded, I adapted and managed to pick up C.J. Stroud in the 2nd round and Jared Goff in the 4th, ensuring I landed two reliable quarterbacks to bolster my roster. I didn’t lock into a rigid plan beforehand, but I focused on capitalizing on the board’s flow to strengthen my running backs and wide receivers. I added Kyren Williams, De’Von Achane, Chris Olave, Tyreek Hill, and Chase Brown while addressing tight end and quarterback needs opportunistically.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? Tyreek Hill in round 8. He can still be the WR1 in fantasy. I loved that value!

Would you change any of your selections, how so? Hell no! I have the best team. Easily.

How would you describe your roster construction? My roster is built around a dynamic wide receiver corps and complemented by a solid running back group.

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. I would give myself a B+. I can’t give myself an A due to a lack of depth at tight end with only Pat Freiermuth as my starter. I also missed out on a third starting quarterback which is usually a priority for me. I still feel the draft had its challenges as the board didn’t fall in my favor. On a positive note, I’m thrilled with my running backs and wide receivers, especially in a league that requires starting three wide receivers and nine combined players at wide receiver, running back, or tight end. This gives me a strong foundation in those key positions. I believe these strengths will pay off in the long run, as long as injuries don’t derail my roster.

Word from the Commissioner

The Nerds App ranks Jared’s running back group as the best in our league, and it’s easy to see why. Between De’Von Achane, Kyren Williams, and Chase Brown, Jared rosters 3 of the top 12 running backs from last season. Throw in last year’s top overall wide receiver in Ja’Marr Chase, and Jared’s team might be the team to beat. As he mentioned, he likely needs to make some moves to shore up his quarterback and tight end groups, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see Jared’s team make a strong playoff push in our first season.

Garret Price (@DynastyPrice)

Dynasty Rank 6 | Contender Rank 4

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? I wanted to draft high end running backs. Choosing a pick later in the round allowed me to get those players without reaching.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? Chris Godwin at pick 8.11

Would you change any of your selections, how so? I didn’t really hate any of my picks. I wanted to take a few more rookie picks later, but the value got pretty rough.

How would you describe your roster construction? I’m big on best player available, which is why I have so many quarterbacks. ****

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. I’d say a B+. I got great value on some older players in rounds 8-10 (Chris Godwin, Sam Darnold, Jonnu Smith) and I love getting the young running backs. My receivers are just okay, and I don’t have an elite QB despite amazing depth. That kept this draft from receiving an A.

Word from the Commissioner

As with Jared’s team, Garret chose to anchor his team’s fortune to a stable of talented running backs. Jahmyr Gibbs was the best running back on the planet last season not named Saquon Barkley, and Garret gets to add both Ashton Jeanty and Cam Skattebo to the mix. Garret did flesh out the rest of his roster quite well in later rounds, adding productive but inexpensive players like Jonnu Smith, Chris Godwin, and Justin Fields. Perhaps moreso than any other roster, Garret’s success may hinge on him hitting on his later picks rather than his early ones.

Keith Ensminger (@TheSmingDynasty)

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? I wanted a top three spot to ensure I was able to draft one of Jayden Daniels, Josh Allen, or Lamar Jackson. I’d figure out the rest later.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? Terry McLaurin at 7.11. I considered him the round before, so I am happy he fell to me. It will be a nice stack with Jayden Daniels.

Would you change any of your selections, how so? I would not, no.

How would you describe your roster construction? Young and QB-heavy

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. I give myself a B. I think I have the best quarterback room in the league and one of the top groups of wide receivers. However, I have left myself vulnerable at running back and tight end. Good thing this rookie draft is full of both! I just have to hope my rookie picks work out. I have at least given myself a lot of flexibility with the rookie picks I’m holding.

Word from the Commissioner

Objectively, I am in love with this roster. Other managers may devote strategy and resources into other positions, but for me—in Superflex—nothing beats the quarterback. This roster is a shining example of my belief in that principle. I have two of last season’s rookie gunslinging superstars in Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix. To them, I’m adding the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Cam Ward. Bryce Young, also a No. 1 overall selection who came on strong by the end of last season, could be a great trade chip for later. In drafting Jaxon Dart, I am hoping that he will rise in value given a decent landing spot. Are my tight ends bottom of the barrel? Yes. Am I thin at wide receiver? I am. Will I win the league this year? Very unlikely. However, if I can survive elimination this season, I can focus my future draft capital on other needs while many of the other managers in this league are left scrambling for a quarterback.

Editor’s note: Given the depth of Keith’s overall roster in a start-12—and the inability to start more than 2 QBs at a time—we may be in the hunt for a new Commissioner in 2026.

Peter Monahan (@Pistol_Pete026)

Dynasty Rank 8 | Contender Rank 1

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? I wanted a Top 3 pick to be able to land one of Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, or Jayden Daniels. This was also my third startup draft this offseason, and I had selected 2nd and 3rd in the others. I already knew who would generally be available in each round around my pick.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? Outside of my first few picks, my favorite selection was Josh Jacobs at the end of the 5th round. Jacobs finished as RB7 (by average) last year in this format. To slide him in next to Bijan Robinson gives me a great one-two punch at RB. I also liked the value of David Njoku at 9.03.

Would you change any of your selections, how so? I think I would likely change my Bijan Robinson pick if I had the chance. Not that I don’t love Bijan, but being able to land an elite WR who will likely last longer on my team would probably have been the smarter long-term investment to make.

How would you describe your roster construction? I will be the first to say this draft was not how I typically approach startup drafts. I made two big trades early trading back into the end of the 1st round to select Bijan Robinson. Overall, with the half-PPR scoring format, I opted to draft more running backs than I normally would as opposed to wide receivers. As we get into later rounds, my draft strategy in lineup leagues will always be to draft backup quarterbacks and running backs. These two positions are the easiest to identify the starter for that week. When injuries occur, managers need to fill these positions. This leads to potential future trade value.

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. I think I would be realistic and give myself a C grade. I have mixed feelings about my trades and the selection I made with one of them. My goal was to land an elite player to put into my lineup at QB, RB, and WR. Overall though, throughout the course of the draft, I think I may have passed on WR too often given the starting lineup requirements of starting 3 WR and 4 flex. If there is one area I would like to improve my team through trading it is at WR. However, I like to try different draft strategies so that way you can know what works and what doesn’t. We all know that you don’t win a league based on the startup draft. There will be plenty of time for me to improve this team and hoist that trophy at the end of the season!

Word from the Commissioner

This roster is unfortunately a lesson in what can happen in dynasty startup drafts which begin so early in the offseason. With the recent and surprising news of Derek Carr’s injury, Peter’s season could be sunk before it even begins. Josh Allen is incredible, but he can only fill one quarterback spot in a Superflex lineup. Assuming Cam Ward starts for the Titans this season, none of Peter’s other quarterbacks are starters. We can talk about Peter’s outstanding running backs and deep tight end bench all we want, but I am afraid he’s going to be at a disadvantage each week at the most important position in Superflex, especially in the uber-competitive Nerds App league.

Jon Glosser (@Glosser13)

Dynasty Rank 9 | Contender Rank 12

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? I wanted to make sure I ended up with a top-5 option at both QB and TE given the scoring.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? I was excited to get Patrick Mahomes with the 4th pick. My plan to pick a later draft spot but still within the range of getting an elite QB paid off.

Would you change any of your selections, how so? I wish I had been able to be a bit more aggressive at WR, but I was on the wrong side of the 3RR. Unfortunately, it wasn’t really an option.

How would you describe your roster construction? A balance of safe with combined upside. I prioritized players in their prime with proven production.

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. I give myself a B**-.** I feel I addressed the major positions I needed to in order to feel safe in a SF/TEP scoring format. The depth at WR allowed me to wait a bit longer and still draft top WR options. I feel like buying the dip on Dalton Kincaid could be the make-or-break pick of my draft if he produces as he was projected to last season. The high-upside 2nd-year players I drafted, combined with some of my 2025 rookie picks, should give me a chance to improve my roster for the future.

Word from the Commissioner

I think Jon’s analysis of his roster is fair, and it’s hard to find anything I disagree with or dislike. The reality of a startup like this is that no team is going to come out of the draft as a juggernaut. We all have advantages but also holes to fill. Jon’s quarterback and tight end platoons are off to a solid start, and I agree with his assessment of his running backs. If one or two of those 2nd-year running backs break out, he might have a nice roster here. I think he has the most to do at wide receiver, though. As with the Derek Carr injury, the DK Metcalf trade happened after his selection in this draft. There are going to be a lot of questions as to Metcalf’s usage and production in Pittsburgh, not the least of which is who is throwing him the ball? Still, I think Jon did a good job with the hand he was dealt in this startup.

Taylor Christianson (@MySleepers)

Dynasty Rank 10 | Contender Rank 3

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? I chose between having the 1st or 7th pick in our derby, and I chose the 1.01. I felt that I’d be able to make better trades with back-to-back picks. I also preferred drafting Lamar Jackson at 1.01 to Brock Bowers (who I would have taken) at 1.07, as I knew all the best QBs would be gone.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? Getting the Rookie 1.02 pick at the end of the 3rd round. We had six 2024 rookies go in the first two rounds, so I likely gained a lot of value with whoever I take in the rookie draft.

Would you change any of your selections, how so? I would have taken Kenneth Walker at 6.01 and then traded up to take Derrick Henry. I prefer Henry in this format when elimination is on the line, but Walker was the better long-term choice.

How would you describe your roster construction? Veteran presence mixed with younger players.

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. C. It remains to be C’n if this team has talent or not. Players like Anthony Richardson, Jayden Reed, Ricky Pearsall, and Keon Coleman will need to prove they are every-week starters, or I’m going to be relying too heavily on rookie production.

Word from the Commissioner

I think I’m going to have to put in a help desk ticket for the Nerds App, because I don’t understand how it could rate Taylor’s team so poorly. I really like this roster a lot. I am not a fan of Anthony Richardson, but to have him as your third quarterback behind two elite fantasy scoring quarterbacks in Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield is great roster construction. Taylor also has both talent and depth at wide receiver and tight end. I especially love some of his choices at wide receiver in a league where we have to start twelve players. They may not be elite, but he managed to find seven potential starting options. This roster’s greatest weakness is at running back, but if Derrick Henry stays healthy—and his other positions work out—it may not affect him the same as it would other rosters in the Nerds App League.

Mychal Warno (@DynastyDadMike)

Dynasty Rank 11 | Contender Rank 2

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? I picked the 6th spot in our draft derby, as I wanted to be right in the middle of the draft.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? My favorite selection was getting Puka Nacua at 2.07.

Would you change any of your selections, how so? Not selecting Bryce Young when I had a chance.

How would you describe your roster construction? Built for a win-now team.

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. I am very happy with my roster build, so I will give myself a B. I feel that even though I have some older players, my core pieces are young.

Word from the Commissioner

What Mychal doesn’t have in dynasty value, he makes up for in contending value. He has many solid starters at both running back and wide receiver, and both Jalen Hurts and Geno Smith should give him plenty of production in the near-term. At tight end, Mark Andrews’ status is a bit up-in-the-air, but with Evan Engram leaving, Brenton Strange has come into value in Jacksonville. I don’t see any glaring flaws with this roster, so Mychal’s chances may come down to how well his older pieces like Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara can hold up this season.

Nerds App League Startup Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football NFL FF 12 teams SuperFlex Tight End Premium

What was your plan for the draft? I was looking to initially bag some young talent. Then, after the first five rounds or so, I morphed into building a team that could win right away.

Which player was your favorite selection in the draft? Getting Chuba Hubbard in the 5th round and Jerry Jeudy in the 6th both felt like great values.

Would you change any of your selections, how so? Not really.

How would you describe your roster construction? Immediately competitive, yet not a ton of players in the twilight of their career.

Grade your draft to this point on a scale of A+ to F. I give myself a rock solid B+. I think in the end, this will be a playoff team with a legitimate shot at taking home the crown in year 1. I feel a little thin at QB3 with only Spencer Rattler behind Brock Purdy and Joe Burrow, but there is a chance Rattler could get a shot this year. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the results as they are right in line with what I was hoping to build.

Word from the Commissioner

I like what Doc has done with the roster. He has two great starters at quarterback, several running backs who will provide production for at least the next season or two, and a stable of young, talented wide receivers. While the Derek Carr injury may have been bad luck for Peter, it proved a bit prophetic for what Doc said about Spencer Rattler getting a shot this season. As with many dynasty rosters, this team’s greatest weakness is at tight end. There are pre-draft rumors of the Bears potentially looking to add a tight end in this deep 2025 rookie class, and that would really hurt Cole Kmet’s value. However, Doc does still have several rookie picks to make in the later rounds, and he could get lucky and land some value there in the upcoming weeks.

Sneak Preview of The Rookie Draft

Let’s wrap up with a sneak preview of our Pre-NFL Nostradamus rookie draft. We’ll have an upcoming article showcasing these two rounds of picks which were made before the NFL Draft takes place. In the meantime, remember we still have a few rounds left of rookie picks to make. I have the honor of making the first pick following the NFL Draft, and there are plenty of great players still available. A few notable names on the board include:

Jaylin Noel | WR | Iowa State
Pre-NFL Draft, Rich has Iowa State’s Jaylin Noel ranked as his 11th-best player overall in Superflex/Tight End Premium, ahead of both Luther Burden and Matthew Golden. The dynamic speedster has risen up draft boards since the NFL Combine, and he is now in heavy contention to be the first player taken when our rookie draft resumes.

Elijah Arroyo | TE | Miami
Both Tyler Warren and Coleston Loveland were taken in the first round, but there are plenty of good tight ends still available for any team in need. Enter Elijah Arroyo, another riser in the 2025 NFL Draft scouting process. The Dynasty Nerds team is split on Arroyo’s pre-draft value and ranking, with Garret having him as his 20th overall player, but if Arroyo is taken on the 2nd day of the NFL Draft, he is another player who will be a popular 3rd round rookie pick in dynasty rookie drafts.

Jordan James | RB | Oregon
In a rookie class full of talented running backs, it makes sense that even as we enter the 3rd round, there are still plenty of names still available. One such name is Jordan James out of Oregon. Another player where our team’s opinion is split (Rich has James ranked at 21 while Garret ranks him at 39), James is the perfect lottery ticket for teams hoping to cash in on later-round rookie PPR scoring.

Jack Bech | WR | TCU
Is there anyone who won’t be rooting for Jack Bech and his family in the upcoming NFL Draft? There’s so much to like about Bech, and in a class lacking talent at wide receiver, Bech’s name could be called as early as Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Quinn Ewers, Will Howard, Tyler Shough | QB
Will the NFL surprise dynasty managers and throw a wrench into our well-prepared draft boards by taking one of these players earlier than expected? Stranger things have happened.

It’s only April, and there is a lot of offseason to happen between now and the kickoff of the 2025 season. Thank you for tuning in and following along with what promises to be an exciting inaugural season of the Nerds App League!
