Jeremiah Smith Is the Easy Choice
Jeremiah Smith remains the unquestioned first overall selection, but the decisions become much harder immediately afterward.
Jadan Baugh comes off the board at 1.02, followed by quarterbacks Darian Mensah and Drew Mestemaker. Mensah’s accuracy offers an intriguing alternative to Mestemaker’s higher-risk, higher-ceiling profile.
The biggest disagreement comes with Arch Manning, whose talent remains appealing despite Garret’s concerns that he may return to school rather than enter the 2027 NFL Draft.
New Names Are Changing the Rankings
Cam Coleman remains a first-round selection, but Charlie Becker is making a serious push up the receiver rankings with his production.
Meanwhile, Jamari Johnson emerges as the first tight end selected, and the second round features intriguing prospects like Reed Harris, Nick Marsh, Jamal Roberts, and Trey’Dez Green.
The class may not have developed quite as many elite prospects as expected, but its depth continues creating interesting opportunities throughout rookie drafts.
