The 2020 fantasy football season has been a GRIND this year, but we are only two weeks away from the fantasy football playoffs! This week did not offer very many solid dynasty waiver wire adds. It is still important to rotate your bench guys, especially if they are not scoring FF points for you. If you are a contender, you should be looking to add players who are scoring FF points. If you are a retooling team, I would drop your older vet players with little 2021 value for players with the potential to have their value increase in 2021. Always be adding!
Ryan Finley, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
Rostered in 3% of MFL leagues (10-30% of FAAB in Superflex)
Ryan Finley is not a sexy add, but he is a starting QB in the NFL for the remainder of the 2020 season and maybe the beginning of 2021. It is essential to add any starting QB in Superflex because we never know when injuries may strike. I would spend 10-30% of my FAAB on Ryan Finley, especially if I am shallow at QB or lost Burrow.
J.J. Taylor, RB, New England Patriots
Rostered in 7% of MFL leagues (5-10% FAAB)
J.J. Taylor has missed the last six weeks for the Patriots, but he still should be rostered on way more leagues. Also, Burkhead has a torn ACL, so Taylor may begin to be on the active roster, leading to more opportunities for Taylor. I also like Taylor’s potential to be involved in the offense in 2021, so he is an excellent stash for retooling and contending teams. I would spend 5-10% of my FAAB on J.J. Taylor.
Anthony Firkser, TE, Tennessee Titans
Rostered in 19% of MFL leagues (1-5% of FAAB and 3-8% of FAAB in TE Premium)
Anthony Firkser has continued to show flashes when Jonnu Smith is not on the field (Jonnu missed time in Week 11). In Week 11, Firkser had 7.3 PPR points on 39% of the snaps Week 11. Also, when Firkser had over 50% of the snaps, he had 25.3 PPR points. If Jonnu misses any time coming up, I would love to play Firkser as a spot start. I would spend 1-5% of my FAAB in a non-TE Premium league, and I would spend 5-10% of my FAAB on Firkser in TE premium leagues.
Ty Johnson, RB, New York Jets
Rostered in 5% of MFL leagues (1-5% of FAAB)
Ty Johnson is an exciting add for PPR leagues. In Week 11, he had four receptions on six targets to have 5.7 PPR points because Perine went down with an injury. If Perine or Gore misses time, Ty Johnson is the next man up, so he is the type of RB I want to add to the end of my roster. I would also add Ty Johnson because he has a 91st percentile 40 yard dash time (4.45) and an 85% percentile speed score. I would spend 1-5% of my FAAB on Ty Johnson.
Joe Reed, WR, Las Angeles Chargers
Rostered in 7% of MFL leagues (1-5% of FAAB)
We have all seen Justin Herbert light the world on fire, so I want any potential WR option for him on my bench. Joe Reed is a 5th round draft pick speedster with a 94th percentile speed score. Reed has not been on the field a lot this year, but injuries happen all the time in the NFL. If you are in a league that gives points per kick return yard, Reed is part of the kick return team and has had 3 games with 70 or more kick return yards. I would spend 1-5% of my FAAB to stash Joe Reed on the end of my bench.
