Week 16 Waiver Wire Dynasty Deep Adds: Playoffs Edition: The Finale

One week left to become a champion in your league! Good luck to everyone who made it to the championship game. For anyone not in the championship game, every one of the players mentioned is a dynasty stash (with two players also solid adds for contenders). Always make moves!

Quez Watkins, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

Rostered in 4% of MFL leagues (10-20% of remaining FAAB)

Quez Watkins was second in fantasy points for the Eagles WRs, and Reagor is currently injured with an ankle injury. Also, Watkins is a rookie and had the fourth highest snaps in Week 15 (out-snapped Fulgham RIP). If Reagor misses time in Week 16, Watkins can be a serviceable flex play in deep leagues. I also like Watkins as a speculative dynasty stash in leagues with 28 or more roster spots! I would spend 10% of the remaining FAAB I have on Watkins. He is my top waiver add of Week 16.

Jalen Guyton WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Rostered in 21% of MFL leagues (5-10% of FAAB)

I have talked about Guyton before as a dynasty stash, so I hope that you already have him on your teams! In Week 15, Guyton had the most targets on the Chargers and had 13.5 PPR fantasy points. Keenan Allen was hurt in Week 15, which led to more opportunity to go around, and Guyton is attached to a Herbert led offense (under contract in 2021). I would spend 5-10% of my FAAB on adding Guyton, and he is an add for contending and retooling teams!

J.J. Taylor, RB, New England Patriots

Rostered in 7% of MFL leagues (1-5% FAAB)

J.J. Taylor was a must-add for me early in the season, especially after carrying all the New England RBs. Since Week 3, Taylor has only had one carry for two yards, but I would still add Taylor because he received more work than Damien Harris in his first year. Also, Burkhead and James White should be off the team so that the RBs will be Damien Harris, Sony Michel, and JJ Taylor. Also, Taylor is on a cheap three-year deal (is under contract until the 2022 season). I would spend 1% on all of my remaining FAAB to add J.J. Taylor because of the potential upside.

Jalen Hurd, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Rostered in 6% of MFL leagues (1-5% of FAAB)

My final add is a blast from the past. Jalen Hurd had a lot of hype going into 2020, only to have his season ended by an ACL tear in the preseason (Hurd missed 2019 with a back stress fracture). Back in the 2019 NFL draft, Hurd was picked in the third round and was praised for his ability to be used all over the field. I do not know what 2021 will hold for Hurd, but I would stash Hurd in any deep leagues because he still has the potential to be a playmaker in the NFL. If I had any retired players on my bench (yes, even Andrew Luck), I would drop them for Hurd. I would only spend 1% of my FAAB on Hurd because no one is thinking about adding him.
