Wow, what a week! Week 4 of the NFL season delivered both fireworks and drama. The Kansas City Chiefs reasserted themselves, dominating the Baltimore Ravens 37–20 behind Patrick Mahomes, who became the youngest player to reach 250 career passing touchdowns. On the other side of the box score, the Ravens are spiraling at 1–3 with Lamar Jackson exiting the game with a hamstring injury. He reportedly will miss a few weeks of action.

In a wild Sunday Night Football showdown, the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers battled to a 40–40 tie. Fantasy football managers watched as matchup scores went crazy late into the evening with video game-like performances by Dak Prescott, Romeo Doubs, and George Pickens standing out in the back-and-forth offensive slugfest.
Meanwhile, the Rams pulled off a clutch win over the Colts, thanks to Tutu Atwell’s 88-yard go-ahead touchdown. Matthew Stafford added another comeback to his resume, throwing three touchdowns with zero picks.
One of the most surprising results came in San Francisco, where the Jacksonville Jaguars stunned the 49ers 26–21. Jacksonville’s defense forced four turnovers while Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey were mostly held in check. More importantly, can anyone on the Niners stay healthy?
On the international stage, the Pittsburgh Steelers edged the Minnesota Vikings 24–21 in Ireland. Aaron Rodgers was surgical, but the story of the day was the late sudden scratch of Jaylen Warren, leading to a blowup game for Kenneth Gainwell, who scored twice.
Elsewhere, the Houston Texans earned their first win with a 26–0 shutout of the Tennessee Titans behind a breakout day from rookie Woody Marks (119 total yards, 2 TDs). Cam Ward and the Titans’ offense continue to struggle, lacking any definable identity.
Finally, Monday Night Football drew the week to a conclusion with a devastating injury to Tyreek Hill and a dreadful performance by the Cincinnati Bengals’ offense. Ja’Marr Chase finished with 5 catches for 23 yards while Tee Higgins added 3 receptions for just 32 yards. If you are a contender and roster anyone on the Bengals offense, what are you doing with them?

League Highlights | Week 4 Nerds App League
- With Doc Mitchell suffering his first loss, Peter Monahan leaps ahead of him to the top of the standings, scoring an absurd 756.33 points through four weeks. He’s lapping the rest of us, outscoring the next closest team by nearly 70 points!
- Despite earning a win this week over Nick Piovano, Jon Glosser finds himself at the bottom of the standings. Without much help sitting on his bench coming to save him, will Jon be one of the first managers on the chopping block at the end of the season?
- Parity abounds in the DNA (Dynasty Nerds App) League, with no unbeaten or winless teams. We knew this league would be competitive, and the standings prove it.
- We are only four games into the season, but the haves and have-nots are beginning to reveal themselves as the year unfolds. Four of the top six teams in the Dynasty Nerds App contender rankings would make the playoffs if the season ended today.
Matchup of the Week | Matt Cooper vs Doc Mitchell

Final Score: 144.15 to 143.62
A close matchup right up until the very end, Matt Cooper took down Doc Mitchell to hand him his first loss of the season. The final difference ended up less than a single point as Matt rode the arm of Matthew Stafford and the legs of Omarion Hampton to victory. Doc’s team undershot its expected total by nearly 30 points, weighed down by dud performances by Wan’Dale Robinson and Darnell Mooney. Heading into the NFL bye-week stretch, it will be interesting to see which team has built enough depth to survive both injuries and byes in such a competitive league.

MVP of the Week
Garret Price started both the top quarterback (Dak Prescott) and top running back (Ashton Jeanty) on his way to a 212.98 point explosion. At 6–2, Garret’s team seems to be firing on all cylinders. We’ll find out this week as Garret faces off against Doc Mitchell in a battle of 6–2 teams.
Bench Blunder
It’s hard to say “imagine what could have been” when talking about the top-scoring team from Week 4, but Romeo Doubs and his 27.8 points were sitting on Pete Monahan’s bench. Fortunately, I doubt he’s losing much sleep after winning his matchup against Taylor Christanson by nearly 100 points.
Heartbreaker
In another close matchup from Week 4, Jon Glosser earned a hard-fought fantasy victory over Nick Piovano 143.72 to 138.03. Multiple players in this matchup failed to live up to expectations, but Jon pulled out the win despite starting Ray Davis (0.3 points) and Luther Burden (0.6 points).
Underachiever
This just doesn’t seem to be Jared Wackerly’s year in the DNA League. His roster let him down once again, scoring just 118.99 points after being projected to score 160. With the exception of C.J. Stroud, every single player in Jared’s lineup went below projections. To add insult to injury, Jared also lost Tyreek Hill, crushing what little roster depth he had to work with. Is it time to throw in the towel and rebuild?
Manager Spotlight | Interview with Jared Wackerly
How long have you been with Dynasty Nerds? What is your position and speciality?
I’ve been with the Nerds for five years as a co-owner and help with business development. I also do prospect evaluations and our Nerd Score. I’ve been playing dynasty fantasy football for six years. I live in North Canton, Ohio, and I’m a Cleveland Browns fan.
Give me your impressions of Week 4 in the Nerds App League?
Well, I knew right away when I had to insert Rico Dowdle into my starting lineup that the week would likely not end well. My loss this week is even worse now that I’ve lost Tyreek Hill and all his value has suddenly vanished.
What do you think we can expect from your squad moving forward?
I need to sell off for draft picks or something, because this team is bad. One of my best pieces is Chase Brown, but his value has taken a nosedive thanks to the Joe Burrow injury. I have De’Von Achane and Ja’Marr Chase, but those are players I’d rather retain and build around. Not one of my “valuable” pieces is playing at peak value. Every player on my team is essentially playing at their floor. It’s going to be a tough year.
Is there anything you would like to say to Taylor Christianson, your Week 4 opponent?
I have nothing I want to say to Taylor other than good luck, may the best man win. In which case, I should win, since I’m a better man.

Elimination Watch | Bottom 3 in the Danger Zone
The Danger Zone
| Manager | Record | Points Scored | Quick Take |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jon Glosser | 2–6 | 513.63 | Strong at QB with Mahomes/Maye, but weak depth elsewhere. Bye weeks could sink him further. |
| Jared Wackerly | 2–6 | 529.29 | Injury to Tyreek Hill plus underperformers like Josh Downs leave him reeling. |
| Taylor Christianson | 2–6 | 554.92 | Making trades and stockpiling 2026 picks, but losing Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow is tough to overcome. |
Making the Case for Jon Glosser
With Patrick Mahomes, Drake Maye, and Daniel Jones (imagine writing his name here just a month ago!), Jon’s team is solid at quarterback. It’s the other positions where his team is lacking. Breece Hall and DK Metcalfcan’t carry this lineup each week when it’s being weighed down by players like Kaleb Johnson, Ray Davis, and Josh Palmer. The upcoming bye weeks could make Jon’s bad season even worse.
What’s Ailing Jared Wackerly
Jared’s team is an example of a team that looked strong on paper, but became a paper tiger when the lights came on to start the year. Saddled with fantasy disappointments like Josh Downs and Chase Brown, Jared now loses Tyreek Hill. Unlike Jon, he can’t even count on his quarterbacks, watching Russell Wilson rot away on his bench.
Taylor Christianson Trying to Get it Done
Let’s give Taylor credit. His roster isn’t great, but he hasn’t rested on any laurels. Taylor is grinding and making trades left and right. With multiple 2026 draft picks added via recent trades, he can at least take some solace in losing Lamar Jackson for several weeks. Maybe he can wave them in front of A.J. Brown to get his attention and let him know the season has started if he’d like to start scoring fantasy points, please.
Trade of the Week

Our league’s most active trader, Taylor traded away Khalil Shakir to Doc Mitchell in return for Isaiah Bond and a 2026 2nd round pick. With Cedric Tillman going on injured reserve and a change to Dillon Gabriel at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, this trade could pay dividends for Taylor. For Doc, he gets a fairly consistent piece of the Buffalo Bills’ high-powered offense.
Looking Ahead | Week 5 Preview

Game of the Week prediction
We have two heavyweight matchups this week in the DNA League. Garret Price faces off against Doc Mitchell in a battle of 6–2 teams, and just look at that projection! It doesn’t get any closer than that, folks. When we said this would be a competitive league, we meant it!
Rivalry and Upset watch
Meanwhile, Rich Dotson hopes to continue his hot start against Mychal Warno. Each team sits at 5–3, so a win will be crucial to each team’s playoff hopes.
It isn’t Yankees versus Guardians, but Nick Piovano matches up with Jared Wackerly this week in a classic battle of New York against Cleveland. Can Jared sneak in a victory against Nick, who will be without Tucker Kraft and Caleb Williams, both on a bye?
