Dynasty fantasy football is a game of windows. Every offseason, fantasy managers convince themselves they’re one move away. In this article, we’re identifying one trade target for every NFC team based on roster construction, team needs, player contracts, and most importantly, dynasty impact. Which moves make football sense, and which ones could create league-winning value shifts? Please note that all content will be focused on 12-team SF TE premium formats.

NFC East

Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott | Quarterback | Trade Target for Contenders
While Ceedee Lamb and George Pickens are also obvious trade targets, they will carry heavy compensation in order to acquire them. Currently, Dak Prescott is valued as a high-end QB2 but produces QB1 numbers when healthy. Prescott has finished as a top-five quarterback in two of his last three seasons. Currently, in our consensus rankings, Prescott is the QB16. Contenders in need of a solid QB2 option should look at the price of Prescott in their league. A common trade I have seen is Cam Ward and a small add-on piece for Dak.
New York Giants
Malachi Fields | Wide Receiver | Trade Target for Rebuilders
On paper, Malachi Fields is joining a crowded wide receiver room in New York. Malik Nabers is the clear No. 1 receiver in New York, along with Darius Slayton, Darnell Mooney, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and the return of Odell Beckham Jr. However, let’s not forget that New York traded back into the third round of the NFL Draft to select Fields, signifying that they have plans for him. JuJu and Odell’s best days are behind them. Mooney projects more as a slot receiver, meaning Fields’ path to significant playing time is only hindered by Slayton. Rebuilding teams could move an older asset at wide receiver, such as Davante Adams, while also acquiring a small add-on piece.
Philadelphia Eagles
Dallas Goedert | Tight End | Trade Target for Contenders
Dallas Goedert re-signed with Philadelphia via a one-year, $7 million deal this offseason and is coming off a productive 2025 campaign in which he drew 82 targets across 15 regular-season games. Goedert finished with 591 receiving yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns, emerging as one of the team’s top red-zone threats. With the departure of A.J. Brown, Goedert should see another productive year in the Philadelphia offense while Makai Lemon and Eli Stowers adapt to the NFL. If you have not had your rookie drafts, a 2026 second-round pick is a reasonable trade offer for contending teams in need of a tight end.
Washington Commanders
Antonio Williams | Wide Receiver | Trade Target for Rebuilders
During the predraft process, I was very high on Antonio Williams and had him as my WR8, and after a fantastic landing spot in Washington, Williams is now my WR6 among rookies. Williams graded extremely well in Matt Harmon’s Reception Perception. Williams is a quick-footed receiver off the line of scrimmage and displays strong yards-after-catch ability, reminding me of Zay Flowers. Williams steps into an offense where he is the primary candidate to command targets out of the slot alongside Terry McLaurin and should be viewed with similar trade value as Malachi Fields.

NFC North
Chicago Bears
Rome Odunze | Wide Receiver | Trade Target for Contenders or Rebuilders
When there is a buying opportunity for a 24-year-old wide receiver who was a top ten NFL Draft pick on an ascending offense, you need to capitalize. Rome Odunze started his 2025 season with 4 straight double-digit fantasy performances while also scoring 5 touchdowns. However, after the bye week, Odunze only had 2 more double-digit performances, which could be attributed to a foot ailment that limited him to just 12 games. Even in a shortened season, Odunze tied for the team lead with D.J. Moore in end-zone targets (11), led the team in deep targets (22) and first-read targets (65). Moore is now in Buffalo. While Odunze’s injury concerns are worrisome, it may also be creating a buy-low window for fantasy managers. His acquisition cost has never been lower due to the late-season breakouts of Luther Burden III and Colston Loveland. Some wide receivers I view as close in value to Odunze include Nico Collins, Zay Flowers, and Chris Olave, all of whom I would trade straight across the board for Odunze.
Detroit Lions
Jared Goff | Quarterback | Trade Target for Contenders
Since 2022, Jared Goff has recorded four consecutive seasons with at least 4,400 passing yards and 29 touchdowns. Goff has an excellent group of pass-catchers around him, including wide receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and the promising Isaac TeSlaa, who I considered as my trade target for the Lions. He also has other weapons, including tight end Sam LaPorta, and running back Jahmyr Gibbs. Goff has finished in the top 10 at quarterback in each of his last 4 years, but is being valued as a QB2. Goff’s trade value is very close to that of Dak Prescott’s, so if the Dak manager isn’t budging, pivot to the Goff manager.
Green Bay Packers
Tucker Kraft | Tight End | Trade Target for Rebuilders
Since emerging as a featured piece of Green Bay’s offense, Tucker Kraft has become one of the more popular trade targets for contending teams. Kraft plays in an offense that ranked 15th, led by Jordan Love. While also benefiting from one of the league’s more creative offensive environments, Kraft has shown the ability to generate production after the catch and earn targets in high-value areas of the field. Kraft’s current value is depreciated due to the torn ACL he suffered in the 2025 season. Once Kraft gets back to 100% and is healthy, he should re-establish himself as a top-five tight end to help you on your quest for a dynasty championship. If you haven’t had your rookie drafts, I would be comfortable trading any pick after the 1.06 for Kraft.
Minnesota Vikings
Demond Claiborne | Running Back | Trade Target for Rebuilders
Obviously, Justin Jefferson is a trade target, but he still carries a hefty price tag, so let’s look at some cheaper options. Coming into the NFL Draft, Demond Claiborne was one of my favorite “sleeper” running backs. In my rookie profile of Claiborne, I highlighted his patience and home run speed, while also viewing him as a legitimate pass-catching option. I view Claiborne being drafted to Minnesota as a favorable landing spot, given that 32-year-old Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason are not locks to be on the roster in 2027. If Jones misses time, Mason has already been given opportunities and never fully took over the role. Claiborne is the unknown asset who could explode given the opportunity. Claiborne has been one of my favorite targets in the third round of rookie drafts. If you have already had your rookie drafts, see if you can swap Rhamondre Stevenson for Claiborne while possibly acquiring a small add-on piece as well.

NFC South
Atlanta Falcons
Michael Penix Jr. | Quarterback | Trade Target for Rebuilders
Michael Penix is a strong trade target for rebuilding or contending dynasty teams because he offers one of the better combinations of upside and cost efficiency at quarterback. Penix is currently splitting first-team reps in Atlanta with Tua Tagovailoa as he continues to recover from a partial ACL tear he suffered late in 2025. Once fully healthy, I expect Penix to be Atlanta’s starter. If your roster is already competitive, acquiring Penix allows you to add upside at the most important position while preserving the draft capital and cornerstone assets needed to keep your championship window open. He’s the type of quarterback whose cost can move quickly once the market gains confidence, making him an attractive buy for teams trying to compete now without sacrificing long-term roster value. In my home league, I was able to acquire Penix for the 1.11 in our upcoming rookie draft.
Carolina Panthers
Jonathon Brooks | Running Back | Trade Target for Rebuilders
Even though Jonathon Brooks has only 9 career NFL carries, he is exactly the type of dynasty trade target rebuilding teams should be targeting because his value is built more on future outcomes than immediate production. Brooks entered the NFL as a second-round pick and was the first running back selected in the 2024 NFL Draft after surpassing 1,400 yards from scrimmage and double-digit touchdowns at the University of Texas. Carolina’s leading rusher from 2025, Rico Dowdle, is no longer with the team, and reports suggest that Brooks could push veteran Chuba Hubbard for a starting role. If your roster is still a year away, Jonathon Brooks is the type of calculated upside swing worth making. I would trade any older running backs such as Aaron Jones, Tony Pollard, or Jaylen Warren for Brooks.
New Orleans Saints
Tyler Shough | Quarterback | Trade Target for Contenders
Tyler Shough is one of the more interesting trade targets for dynasty contenders because he offers access to starting-caliber quarterback production without requiring the same investment as other quarterbacks in his tier. Shough will have a revamped offense after drafting Jordyn Tyson and Oscar Delp and signing Travis Etienne. Let us not forget that New Orleans spent a second-round selection on Shough in last year’s draft and did not address the quarterback position in the offseason, aside from signing Zach Wilson, who is not a threat to take the starting job. In this draft class, I would be comfortable trading any later 2026 1st for Shough, but a 2027 second might be enough to get the deal done depending on the manager.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chris Godwin | Wide Receiver | Trade Target for Contenders
At 30-years old, Chris Godwin doesn’t carry the hype of younger receivers on the Buccaneers like Emeka Egbuka and Ted Hurst, but contending teams should not care about his age when Godwin has the potential for double-digit fantasy points weekly, when healthy. Godwin remains one of the most dependable volume receivers in fantasy football. Entering 2026, he replaces Mike Evans as Baker Mayfield’s safety valve. A 2028 second-round pick is a good offer to send to the Godwin manager if they are out of contention.

NFC West
Arizona Cardinals
Carson Beck | Quarterback | Trade Target for Rebuilders
During our rookie profile series, I highlighted Carson Beck. Some of his strengths include a prototypical build you look for in a quarterback. His arm talent allows him to make all the throws necessary in the NFL. Beck can read defenses pre-snap, allowing him to make audible adjustments and identify mismatches. Beck also has “big game” experience, having played in some of the most important games in college football. Jacoby Brissett continues to push for more money as the assumed starter, but Beck should have a strong opportunity to challenge for the starting job. Beck’s acquisition price is around the trade level for handcuff running backs such as Brian Robinson and Tyrone Tracy.
Los Angeles Rams
Blake Corum | Running Back | Trade Target for Contenders or Rebuilders
Blake Corum is the type of dynasty trade target rebuilding and contending teams should be pursuing because his value trajectory still has room to grow before his production fully catches up. Corum is one of the best handcuffs in fantasy because he also holds standalone running back value. In 2025, the 25-year-old recorded 746 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns on 145 carries while sharing carries with Kyren Williams, leading the No. 7 rushing attack in the NFL. Corum also generated 44 first downs on the ground and produced explosive plays at a much higher rate than his rookie year, showing he can create value even without a full workload. Reports entering 2026 suggest the Rams could move closer to a split backfield, creating additional upside if his role expands. His current dynasty price still sits close to a 2027 third-round pick or a 2028 second-round pick, but another season of efficient production could push him into a completely different tier of value. If your roster is playing for the future or contending, Blake Corum is the type of calculated upside investment worth making before the breakout becomes expensive.
San Francisco 49ers
Brock Purdy | Quarterback | Trade Target for Rebuilders
On a recent episode of the Dynasty Nerds Podcast, Garret and Andrew gave dynasty trade pieces to target for rebuilders. For the San Francisco 49ers, Brock Purdy was the target. Purdy has been a name the Nerds crew has mentioned for a while now. At 26-years old, Purdy doesn’t command the high trade return that other quarterbacks of similar age, like Jalen Hurts and Trevor Lawrence, currently do. Speaking of Trevor Lawrence, Purdy actually outscored Lawrence on a points-per-game basis (20.8 ppg to 20.6 ppg). That is also not an outlier, since coming into the league, Purdy has not had a season with fewer than 18.6 fantasy points per game. If you have a couple of older productive veterans on your roster, package them with a future 2028 draft pick to start negotiations for Purdy.
Seattle Seahawks
AJ Barner | Tight End | Trade Target for Contenders
Since entering the league, AJ Barner has quietly developed into one of the more undervalued tight-end assets. In 2025, Barner posted 52 receptions, 519 receiving yards, and 6 touchdowns while starting all 17 games and finishing as a top-15 fantasy tight end despite being valued closer to the low-end TE2 range. Barner emerged as a key red-zone target for Sam Darnold, and his production translated to strong underlying efficiency metrics, including a top-12 overall PFF grade among qualified tight ends. Barner’s current trade cost still sits well below the top dynasty tight ends. If the price for Tucker Kraft and Dallas Goedert becomes too high, pivoting to AJ Barner could help capture similar weekly impact while preserving future assets.
