Welcome Back IDP Nerds! Another week of the NFL season is behind us, and we’re back looking for ways to improve our dynasty rosters. The Week 7 IDP Waiver Wire is here as injuries and bye weeks continue to make life difficult for fantasy managers. We had some success with last week’s recommendations, including Jacob Parrish putting together another solid performance and Kendal Daniels collecting 7 tackles before suffering a scary injury. Hopefully, we get some good news on Daniels after what happened on Sunday.
We’re nearly halfway through the fantasy regular season, and finding quality players on waivers isn’t getting any easier. At this point, I’m looking for any opportunity to improve my roster, whether that’s finding someone who can help me this week or adding a player who might have a bigger role down the road. Let’s get into my top IDP waiver wire pickups for Week 7.

Best Defensive Line Waiver Pickups | Week 7 IDP

Glosser’s No. 1 Add
Kingsley Enagbare | New York Jets | 3-5% FAAB
We have another returning name to our waiver wire recommendations this week. Kingsley Enagbare was featured ahead of Week 3 before an injury forced him out of that game and kept him sidelined for the Jets’ Week 4 matchup. Since returning in Week 5, Enagbare has picked up right where he left off, and the playing time has been even more encouraging. He’s played over 75% of the defensive snaps in each of his last two games, his highest snap shares of the season. Enagbare has now scored double-digit fantasy points in three of his five games this year, and I’m liking what we’re seeing from the young pass rusher.
The upcoming schedule is another reason I’m looking to add Enagbare wherever he’s available. The Jets still have two matchups with the Miami Dolphins and one against the Los Angeles Chargers, two teams that combined to allow 7 sacks in Week 6 alone. Those are the types of matchups we want for our defensive linemen, especially when they’re getting this much playing time. I liked Enagbare enough to recommend him back in Week 3, and nothing we’ve seen since his return has changed my opinion. If you picked him up and dropped him after the injury, here’s your chance to get him back. I believe Enagbare has value beyond just the next few weeks and can be a player who helps IDP managers competing for a dynasty championship this season.
Jonathon Cooper | Denver Broncos | 5-10% FAAB
It’s not very often we get a chance to add a proven pass rusher this far into the season, but that’s exactly what we could have with Jonathon Cooper. The Broncos defender is eligible to return in Week 7 after missing the first six games on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. With most dynasty managers already dealing with injuries and bye weeks, I’m sure plenty of them couldn’t afford to keep Cooper on their rosters. We’re talking about a player who’s recorded 31.5 sacks over five NFL seasons while averaging 68.6% of the defensive snaps over the past three years. Cooper has been a reliable part of Denver’s defensive front, and getting him back could be a big addition for IDP managers looking for help.
Now, I’m not expecting Cooper to step right back into his usual workload after missing six games. Quandarrius Robinson has played well in his absence, and Denver has found ways to get production out of its other pass rushers. That could mean a rotation early on, but I’m not going to overlook what Cooper has done over the past few seasons. We’ve talked about the advantage of playing opposite Nik Bonitto, and now Denver has an opportunity to get its established pass-rushing duo back on the field. If Cooper is available in your dynasty league, I’m willing to spend a little more FAAB to get him, especially as a contending team. He might not be someone we can trust in our lineups immediately, but I like his chances of helping us down the stretch if he works his way back into his normal role.

Best Linebacker Waiver Pickups | Week 7 IDP
Noah Sewell | Chicago Bears | 0-3% FAAB
We’ve talked about the struggles of veteran linebacker T.J. Edwards over the past few weeks, and now another injury has him missing time. Last week, we took a chance on D’Marco Jackson potentially seeing more playing time, but Noah Sewell might be the better option for IDP managers looking for tackles. Sewell stepped up last season when Chicago needed him, recording a career-high 59 tackles despite playing just 50% of the defensive snaps. He followed that up with a 13-point fantasy performance in Week 6 while playing only 46% of the snaps. What’s interesting is that Jackson played 86% of the snaps and still wasn’t as productive. That’s something I’m paying attention to as we look for linebacker help.
The Bears have a quick turnaround with a Thursday night matchup against New England, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Edwards misses another game. Chicago also has three games before its Week 10 bye, so there’s a chance Sewell could give us more than just one week of value if Edwards continues to miss time. Devin Bush should remain the team’s top option at linebacker, but Sewell finished just one fantasy point behind him in Week 6 despite playing less than half the snaps. We’ve seen Sewell produce when given an opportunity, and at 0-3% FAAB, he’s the insurance policy I’d rather have on my roster while we see how Chicago handles its linebacker rotation.
Josh Woods | Atlanta Falcons | 0-3% FAAB
We’re still waiting to see how the Falcons handle their linebacker situation after losing both Divine Deablo and Kendal Daniels to injuries in Week 6. The good news is that Daniels’ situation appears to be better than initially feared, but Atlanta could still be looking at multiple changes to its starting lineup. Harold Perkins seems like the likely replacement for Daniels, leaving us with Josh Woods and Christian Harris as the two names to watch while Deablo is sidelined. Most of us expected Harris to step into this role, but he hasn’t played since Week 3 despite reportedly being a healthy inactive. Woods was the linebacker Atlanta turned to in Week 6, and that makes him someone we have to consider heading into another week of injuries and bye weeks.
I’m not going to pretend Woods offers much long-term upside for dynasty managers. He’s recorded more than 60 tackles just once in his eight-year career, and his limited tackle production makes it difficult to get too excited about him. From a fantasy standpoint, I’d feel much better about Harris getting the opportunity, but that doesn’t mean the Falcons will make that decision. The biggest question heading into Week 7 is whether Harris can do enough during the week to earn a spot on the active roster. If Atlanta sticks with Woods, he could be a serviceable short-term option for managers desperate for linebacker help. At 0–3% FAAB, I’m willing to take that chance, but this is a situation I’ll be watching closely before trusting anyone in my starting lineup.
| Player | Pos | Team | Priority | FAAB |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kingsley Enagbare | DL | NYJ | Must Add | 3–5% |
| Jonathon Cooper | DL | DEN | Strong Dynasty Add | 5–10% |
| Noah Sewell | LB | CHI | Injury Replacement | 0–3% |
| Josh Woods | LB | ATL | Speculative Add | 0–3% |
| Jalen Ramsey | DB | PIT | Strong Add | 0–3% |
| Tony Adams | DB | TEN | Short-Term Add | 0–3% |
Best Defensive Back Waiver Pickups | Week 7 IDP
Jalen Ramsey | Pittsburgh Steelers | 0–3% FAAB
If there’s a defensive back who’s been on a heater over the past two weeks, it’s Jalen Ramsey. The former first-round pick has scored just shy of 60 fantasy points over his last two games, including a DB1 overall finish in Week 6 against Tampa Bay. Ramsey finished with 9 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks, including the game-winning sack in overtime. He’s been all over the field for Pittsburgh, and that versatility is paying off for IDP managers. Ramsey doesn’t need to play a traditional safety or cornerback role to produce fantasy points, and the Steelers are finding ways to put him in positions to make plays.
I’m sure Ramsey is already rostered in most leagues that require starting cornerbacks, but I’ve seen him sitting on waivers in plenty of leagues without that requirement throughout the season. After what we’ve seen over the past two weeks, it’s getting harder to justify leaving him there. While impact plays aren’t always the most reliable thing to hang our hat on in fantasy football, Ramsey’s tackle production and versatility give him multiple ways to score fantasy points. With another four teams on bye in Week 7, he’s the type of player who can reward IDP managers willing to put him in their starting lineups. If he’s still available in your league, it’s time to change that.
Tony Adams | Tennessee Titans | 0–3% FAAB
We’re getting to that point of the season where veteran defensive backs can come to the rescue for IDP managers dealing with injuries and bye weeks. Tony Adams has been a perfect example of that over the past two games. The Titans safety stepped in for an injured Amani Hooker in Week 5 and Kevin Winston in Week 6, making the most of his opportunities. Adams matched his career high with 12 tackles while adding a sack and a pass defended in Week 6. Even more encouraging was his 92% defensive snap share, showing just how much Tennessee relied on him with injuries to its starting safeties. He’s now scored the third-most fantasy points among defensive backs over the past two weeks, giving IDP managers some much-needed production.
With Winston dealing with a shoulder injury and the Titans approaching their bye in two weeks, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tennessee gives him additional time to recover. That could leave Adams with another opportunity to start and provide some useful fantasy production. I’m not looking at Adams as someone who’s going to change the outlook of my dynasty roster, but sometimes we just need a player who can help us get through a difficult stretch of the schedule. At 0–3% FAAB, he’s a cheap option who’s already shown he can produce when called upon. If you’re looking for defensive back help, he’s worth keeping on your radar heading into Week 7.
Just Missed | Week 7 IDP Waiver Wire
- Quandarrius Robinson, DL, Denver Broncos: Robinson has made the most of his opportunities with Jonathon Cooper sidelined, ranking as the DL16 over his past two games while averaging 18 fantasy points per game. He’s recorded 2 sacks and at least 4 tackles in two of his last three games, and his defensive snap share has increased to 54.5% over that stretch. Cooper’s return creates some uncertainty around his playing time, but I’m not ready to assume Robinson loses the role he’s earned. He’s worth keeping on your radar in deeper dynasty leagues, especially if Denver continues rotating its pass rushers.
- Tyrice Knight, LB, Seattle Seahawks: Knight stepped in for an injured Drake Thomas in Week 6 and delivered a low-end LB2 performance. With Fred Warner and Sonny Styles still playing Monday night, he could drop another spot or two in the weekly rankings, but that’s still useful production for IDP managers. We’ve seen the LB2 role in Seattle provide fantasy value, and if Thomas misses additional time, Knight could be a strong replacement. He’s recorded 143 tackles over his first two seasons despite starting just 13 of 32 games. That type of tackle production makes him worth rostering in deeper dynasty leagues, especially when an opportunity for more playing time presents itself.
- A’Darius Washington, DB, New York Giants: Washington is a defensive back we expected to have some value this season after following John Harbaugh from Baltimore to New York. With Tyler Nubin sidelined, Washington has started to see more opportunities and finished Week 6 with 5 tackles. He’s played around 40% of the defensive snaps in each of his past two games after opening the season at just 1.7%. It’s not a significant workload yet, but he’s trending in the right direction. I’m keeping an eye on Washington as injuries pile up and we get a better idea of how much playing time he can earn over the second half of the season.
Final Thoughts | Week 7 IDP Waiver Wire
That wraps up another week of IDP waiver wire pickups. We’ve got a good mix of proven veterans and younger players who could earn bigger roles as the season goes on. Don’t be afraid to take a chance on someone at the bottom of your roster, especially if you’re not getting much production from that spot. Sometimes those smaller moves end up making the biggest difference when you’re competing for a dynasty championship.
