The Week 9 Waiver Wire & FAAB Guide is designed for deep dynasty leagues, highlighting under-the-radar players who could deliver immediate production or develop into valuable long-term assets. Whether you’re looking to fill a roster hole or add upside for the future, these are the players worth targeting in Week 9 dynasty fantasy football.

Week 9 Quarterback Waiver Wire Targets

Joe Fagnano | Baltimore Ravens | 3% Rostership | 1-3% FAAB

With Lamar Jackson about to undergo surgery on his thumb that will land him on injured reserve, undrafted rookie Joe Fagano could be in line for a Week 9 start Thursday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, as backup quarterback Tyler Huntley is dealing with a toe injury. Fagano was unimpressive in his Week 8 debut against the Buffalo Bills, going 10-for-21 for 91 yards and 1 interception. With Baltimore’s season in the balance, I would not be shocked if they addressed the quarterback position via trade.

Gardner Minshew | Arizona Cardinals | 10% Rostership | 4-6% FAAB

Gardner Minshew entered Sunday’s Week 8 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys to replace Jacoby Brissett, who was benched, and led Arizona to a 33-30 overtime win. Minshew replaced Brissett when Arizona was down 17-3, throwing for 188 yards and 3 touchdowns. It would seem logical that Brissett’s time as the starter in Arizona has come to an end. The only question is whether Gardner Minshew or Carson Beck will start in Week 9 as the team travels to Seattle to take on the defending Super Bowl Champions. I suspect that Minshew gets the start, as that could be the toughest situation to throw a rookie quarterback into.

Anthony Richardson | Indianapolis Colts | 48% Rostership | 4-6% FAAB

Anthony Richardson entered Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars after Daniel Jones was benched in the fourth quarter with the Colts losing 42-7. While the score may have been a deciding factor in Jones’s removal, he wasn’t exactly lighting up the scoreboard with his performance. Given the current trajectory of the Colts’ season, it’s fair to wonder if Richardson will get some starting opportunities as the team starts making plans for 2027.

Week 9 Running Back Waiver Wire Targets

Isaiah Davis | New York Jets | 39% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

Isaiah Davis has operated as the Jets’ RB2 behind Braelon Allen for the last four games, with Breece Hall unable to play due to a quad injury. The Jets are “hopeful” that Hall can return in Week 9, but that return is not certain. Until Hall is able to return, I would consider rostering Davis in the event something happens to Braelon Allen.

Trevor Etienne | Carolina Panthers | 35% Rostership | 1-3% FAAB

Trevor Etienne continues to occupy the No. 2 spot on the Panthers’ depth chart. I would roster Etienne if I were the Chuba Hubbard manager.

Tyler Goodson | Dallas Cowboys | 27% Rostership | 3-5% FAAB

Tyler Goodson has solidified his position as the primary backup to Javonte Williams. While his rostership continues to climb, we are nowhere near the 50% threshold, which is insane to me, as handcuffs are such a valuable commodity to have. In the event something happens to Javonte Williams, Goodson’s trade value increases substantially for someone you can currently pick up on the waiver wire.

Khalil Herbert | Atlanta Falcons | 4% Rostership | 1-3% FAAB

In Week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Khalil Herbert served as the Atlanta Falcons’ RB2 behind Bijan Robinson for a second consecutive week due to Brian Robinson‘s hamstring injury. As long as Robinson is out of the lineup, Herbert will be Bijan’s backup.

Evan Hull | Arizona Cardinals | 0% Rostership | 1-3% FAAB

With injuries to Jeremiyah Love and Zonovan Knight, Evan Hull may see an increased role as Tyler Allgeier is the only healthy Arizona Cardinal running back on the active roster. I would also consider Jerome Ford who was recently signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad.

Corey Kiner | New England Patriots | 35% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

With TreVeyon Henderson out with an illness in Week 8, Corey Kiner served as the backup to Rhamondre Stevenson. While Kiner started and posted back-to-back 50-yard rushing performances in Weeks 5 and 6, his production has cooled off. Henderson’s Week 9 availability is worth monitoring and will help determine if I want to spend my FAAB on Kiner.

Sione Vaki | Detroit Lions | 28% Rostership | 3-5% FAAB

Sione Vaki continues to be the clear-cut handcuff to Jahmyr Gibbs. Vaki had the best game of his career in Week 8, seeing 11 carries for 65 rushing yards. Much like Tyler Goodson, you have to roster the clear-cut handcuffs to your stud running backs.

Week 9 Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Targets

Jahan Dotson | Atlanta Falcons | 38% Rostership | 1-3% FAAB

In Week 8, Jahan Dotson led the Atlanta Falcons in receiving yards, but don’t expect this type of performance moving forward. Dotson’s 95 receiving yards came mostly on one big 76-yard catch in a rainy loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, Dotson is worth consideration for an end-of-bench roster spot.

Simi Fehoko | Arizona Cardinals | 0% Rostership | 1-3% FAAB

With Kendrick Bourne appearing to have suffered a high-ankle injury and Reggie Virgil being carted off the field with a back injury, Arizona will need someone other than Trey McBride or Michael Wilson to catch passes. Wilson also revealed after the game that he has two broken ribs. Simi Fehoko and Devin Duvernay are two names to look for at as they are the only other healthy active wide receivers

Savion Williams | Green Bay Packers | 41% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

Savion Williams needs to be on dynasty rosters in case something happens to Christian Watson. As we saw on Thursday Night Football, Watson still carries some injury concerns, and if he does fall to the injury bug, Williams will see an uptick in targets and usage.

Week 9 Tight End Waiver Wire Targets

Greg Dulcich | Miami Dolphins | 47% Rostership | 3-5% FAAB

Greg Dulcich is still the starting tight end for the Miami Dolphins, and any starting tight end needs to be rostered in tight end premium leagues. We have almost crossed the threshold, so hopefully this is the last time Dulcich makes the article. Dulcich also gets the Detroit Lions in Week 9, who have been very generous to tight ends, allowing the most points amongst all NFL teams to the position.

Charlie Kolar | Los Angeles Chargers | 13% Rostership | 1-3% FAAB

Charlie Kolar has seen at least 4 targets in every game since returning from injury in Week 5. While the targets have not turned into much production, it is definitely a situation to monitor.

Brevyn Spann-Ford | Dallas Cowboys | 7% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

Brevyn Spann-Ford has been seeing his snap count grow in recent weeks. The third-year tight end has been quietly outproducing Jake Ferguson. It only gets worse for Ferguson, as he was injured in Dallas’ loss to the Arizona Cardinals and could not return to the game. Spann-Ford has seen 5 targets twice in the past 3 weeks.

Tommy Tremble | Carolina Panthers | 18% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

Over the past 3 weeks, Tommy Tremble has led the Carolina Panthers’ tight ends in targets, receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. While Darren Waller is still the TE1 on Carolina’s depth chart, Tremble is the TE1 on the field.

Darnell Washington | Pittsburgh Steelers | 49% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

Darnell Washington continues to make this waiver-wire list, but I have a feeling this may be his final appearance after a career-high 94 receiving yards in the Steelers’ Week 9 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Over 50% Rostered | Week 9 Fantasy Football

Other players who are great waiver wire additions but have over 50% rostership include: Drew Allar, Keenan Allen, Elic Ayomanor, Jack Bech, Carson Beck, Ray Davis, Ryan Flournoy, Pat Freiermuth, Mike Gesicki, Tre’ Harris, Gunnar Helm, Tyler Higbee, Justice Hill, Ted Hurst, MarShawn Lloyd, Michael Mayer, J.J. McCarthy, Seth McGowan, Adonai Mitchell, Keaton Mitchell, Konata Mumpfield, Jalen Nailor, Cade Otton, Michael Penix Jr., Samaje Perine, Eli Raridon, Chris Rodriguez Jr., Shedeur Sanders, Devin Singletary, Geno Smith, Mason Taylor, Kimani Vidal, Deshaun Watson, Kyle Williams, and Malik Willis
