We’re back for Week 8 Risers & Fallers with the weekly stock up and stock down of dynasty value. As we all know, you should never overreact to just one week for dynasty fantasy football—it’s a game of patience. Week 8 was an interesting week, featuring the Buccaneers-Falcons game played during a monsoon. We saw some massive performances from guys like Tony Pollard, Tee Higgins, and Brock Bowers, but also duds from guys like Drake London and DK Metcalf. Let’s dive into the performances that had the biggest impact on dynasty value.

Braelon Allen | RB | New York Jets | Age 22.7

After Week 8, there is no doubt in my mind that Braelon Allen is a Top-20 running back in the NFL. It feels like he’s gotten better and better each week without Breece Hall. He pounded the rock against the Raiders with 21 carries for 147 yards and a touchdown. As an owner, I’m holding on tight to Allen, knowing that he has a bright career ahead of him.

I’m not sure how his next opportunity will come about. I would trade away Hall if I were the Jets. They could get some draft assets to continue building the squad, and their run game wouldn’t dip much. The Jets may even get calls about Allen, but I personally would hold onto the younger, cheaper running back. With Allen’s talent, the opportunity will come calling.

Gunnar Helm | TE | Tennessee Titans | Age 24.1

In a high-scoring game against the Bengals, Gunnar Helm had his career best game. He converted 9 targets into 5 catches for 76 yards. Those 9 targets were the most of any Titan. With Carnell Tate out, Helm seemed to be the weapon in whom Cam Ward had the most trust.

I think this offense is going to continue to improve as Ward adjusts to the NFL. If Helm remains Ward’s go-to tight end, he could be a consistent contributor to fantasy teams for the next half decade. This offense is growing and developing, but if you want a piece, Helm is an inexpensive bet in the future of the Titans.

Jonah Coleman | RB | Denver Broncos | Age 23.2

Jonah Coleman is emerging as the most talented running back on the Denver Broncos. With RJ Harvey landing on the IR, Coleman stepped up and seized the opportunity. He looked more explosive than J.K. Dobbins. Dobbins’ 7 carries went for 13 yards, while Coleman turned his 11 carries into 41 yards and a touchdown.

At what point will the Broncos rather give those 7 carries to Coleman? As a contender, they will want the best players on the field as much as possible. Dobbins is a great veteran presence in the locker room and on the sidelines, but there is no need for him to steal carries away from a more talented, younger running back.

3 Players Stock Down

Parker Washington | WR | Jacksonville Jaguars | Age 24.6

Week 8 was one to forget for Parker Washington. The game script wasn’t in favor of the passing game. Trevor Lawrence only threw the ball 14 times, but Washington received only 2 targets. It was very reminiscent of his Week 4 performance with only 1 catch on 3 targets.

This year started so strong for Washington, but he can’t have these type of week-losing performances down the stretch. This Jaguars football team is so good that they truly don’t need to load any one receiver with targets. Washington will have good games, but to be a top fantasy asset, he can’t have these bust weeks with less than 5 points.

Ashton Jeanty | RB | Las Vegas Raiders | Age 22.9

Ashton Jeanty had a very disappointing week, especially when considering the Raiders backfield usage. The Raiders staff preferred watching 25 carries of Mike Washington running full speed into the back of his offensive linemen, instead of giving the ball to one of the most dynamic weapons in the league. Maybe, the staff was showing off Washington for a trade deadline deal, but I think that might be crediting their intelligence a little too much.

Including Jeanty on this list isn’t a knock on him, but playing for a staff that is capable of giving him 5 touches isn’t going to inspire confidence in owners the rest of the season. Jeanty remains one of the most talented running backs in the league. Unfortunately, he isn’t going to get bell cow usage that he deserves this season.

Zay Flowers | WR | Baltimore Ravens | Age 26.1

Zay Flowers has had a strong first half. Even though he missed 1 week and had a bye week, Flowers was the WR6 through 7 weeks with three 20-point games. Week 8 couldn’t have gone worse though. Lamar Jackson was injured on his first play of the game, and Tyler Huntley also got hurt. Flowers received 5 targets and caught none of them.

I’m genuinely worried about Flowers for the rest of the season. Jackson could be out for the rest of the year, going onto the IR for hand surgery. Huntley could miss some serious time with a turf toe injury. Could the Ravens trade for a quarterback before the deadline? Joe Flacco reunion? Flowers has been so impressive this season, but his 2026 fantasy fate is out of his hands.
