I’ve been wanting to do more in the dynasty community and would love to write articles. My wife is even supportive of it. Bonus! But have no idea how to get started.

1st off, we are looking to find a good dynasty website to load our league into. As is yahoo and some these platforms do not seem able to do what needs to, to keep a dynasty league running properly, like holding the rookies only draft, then having a deadline to make cuts, as well as holding a 2nd round of free agent dropped players draft for anyone interested (holding this as more of a auction draft)-just as we do with waiver priority giving everyone equal opportunity to build their team with blind bidding. (I would also like a place that is open year round to allow for communication with other owners throughout the off season to work on draft day trades and all the fun parts of negotiations.

Now on to your inquiry, Rich I would like to help write something for you, i have been told i should start my own blog as i pretty much talk football, sleep- dream- football year round, some say its a sickness but to myself i find it relaxing and just something that consumes me and can’t get enough of it.

I am the commissioner for the dynasty league I created because I couldn’t find one online that I liked (See website above). I would like to start getting my opinion out there more about dynasty leagues because the strategies are so closely related to the NFL because of contracts and salary caps. One of my owners actually has a journalism degree from the University of Colorado and used to write for the Daily Camera sports section in the mid 2000’s. We are huge numbers and football geeks. Along with him and one other owner we created the database and algorithm for players along with their values. We created rules for rookie and free agent draft picks. Once the database was built I took over and created the entire site myself and also host it myself (I am a programmer as a profession and for fun). Now I manage the site on a daily basis and also improve it when I get time (60 hr work weeks don’t allow as much time as I would like.). I think our league is unique because we have not only contract terms for each team but also have the ability to do franchise tagging as per NFL rules. I created an online calculator specifically calculating player values based on fantasy output.

Anyway, we would love to know what it would take to have a column or have a podcast that we could join. Let me know if you have any questions.
