We’re back for Week 6 Risers & Fallers with the weekly stock up and stock down of dynasty value. As we all know, you should never overreact to just one week for dynasty fantasy football—it’s a game of patience. Managers who read last week’s article and took my advice to buy Germie Bernard, benefited tremendously as his stock continues to rise. Here are this week’s risers and fallers.

3 Players Stock Up

Omar Cooper Jr. | WR | New York Jets | Age: 22.8

Omar Cooper Jr. finally got healthy and had the breakout game for which owners had been waiting. Cooper led the Jets in targets, even outpacing WR1 Garrett Wilson (7 to 6). Cooper turned those 7 targets into 6 catches for 103 yards and a touchdown. On the touchdown, Geno Smith’s pass was horribly underthrown, but Cooper beat the Patriots safeties so badly that it didn’t matter.

Cooper Jr. may not win any leagues this season, but this performance was key for assuring owners that he is indeed a guy moving forward. Previously, contenders who used a late first round pick on him may have been close to panic selling. Now, they can look back to this game, and hopefully see enough flashes moving forward, to know that Cooper is the WR2 of the future for the up and coming Jets. When Smith gets replaced next season, Cooper figures to be one of the top targets of the new franchise QB.

Chuba Hubbard | RB | Carolina Panthers | Age: 27.3

Chuba Hubbard is a running back that I definitely want on contending teams. This Panthers offensive line is solid, and Hubbard has proven himself as a workhorse. How many other modern running backs are capable of handling 28 carries? There are very few true bell cow backs in a league full of committees.

In Week 6, Hubbard converted 28 carries into 120 yards and a touchdown. The Panthers are a run heavy offense that will continue to feed Hubbard down the stretch. Ideally, I’d like to see more of Hubbard in the passing game to be a true dominant fantasy option, but he’s the type of RB2 whose consistency will help you win a championship.

DeVonta Smith | WR | Philadelphia Eagles | Age: 27.9

I’m not going to lie, I was worried about DeVonta Smith for the rest of the season entering the week. Like half of the team, Smith has been banged up this year, but the worst news came this week with Jalen Hurts getting put on the IR for a blood clot. Obviously, the most important thing is Hurts taking care of his health, but I wondered if Smith could still produce with a backup QB.

DeVonta Smith had a great Week 6. His target share was still off the charts with 14 targets. Even though he only caught half of them, 7 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown is a good week. Smith is so talented that I believe he can overcome the loss of his QB for the foreseeable future.

3 Players Stock Down

Cam Skattlebo | RB | New York Giants | Age: 24.7

Cam Skattlebo had one of the biggest stock down weeks in recent memory due to the fact that he totally got benched. Skattebo had a costly overtime fumble the week prior, causing John Harbaugh to send a message. I think it was the wrong choice, considering the Giants lost a close game to the Saints. The Giants running back room, Tyrone Tracy, Devin Singletary, and Najee Harris, combined for 34 yards rushing.

I think the important lesson here is the low hit rate on Day 3 running backs, especially from a different regime. The Giants (especially the Harbaugh regime) have practically nothing invested in Skattlebo and could care less about how many touches he gets. Fumbles happen. These players are playing against freak athletes. Even though Skattlebo is clearly the most talented running back on this roster, the message—that Harbaugh simply doesn’t care about him—was heard loud and clear.

Harold Fannin Jr. | TE | Cleveland Browns | Age: 22.2

Back-to-back games with less than 2 points is brutal for Harold Fannin Jr. For the 4th week in a row, his targets have trended downwards (9 to 5 to 4 to 3). Fannin seems to not be a favorite target for Deshaun Watson, who somehow keeps finding ways to win games. The 4-2 Browns are not going to make a change at QB any time soon.

I think Fannin could drop into the range where he becomes a buy. I simply don’t see Watson starting for this team next year. If the Browns have a revamped offense, I think Fannin will profit and become one of the better tight ends in the league. That change will not take place this year, so it’s hard to envision many championships won in 2026 with Fannin as your starting tight end.

Jaylen Waddle | WR | Denver Broncos | Age: 27.9

Often discussed as one of the biggest breakout candidates of 2026, Jaylen Waddle joined the Denver Broncos this offseason. Considering the draft capital, it felt like Waddle would be a focal point of the Broncos offense. Instead, his usage this year has been puzzling. Waddle has played under 70% of snaps in 4 of the last 5 weeks.

In Week 6, Waddle had 4 catches on 7 targets for 24 yards. He briefly left the game with a shoulder injury, but he returned. If his stock drops much lower, I think we’re approaching a buy opportunity. The Broncos offense as a whole has not been efficient, and their bye week is approaching. I think Waddle’s season outlook goes way up after the bye week, including two games against the porous Las Vegas Raiders defense.

Thank you so much for tuning into the Week 7 Risers & Fallers. The fun part about dynasty is staying closely invested in the ebb and flow of dynasty values. Hopefully, this article helped keep you in touch with weekly trends, and I will aim to keep you up to date with rising and dropping values as much as possible this season.
