NOTE: Rankings are based on a 12-team PPR league. So, saying WR2 means top 24, or TE1 means top 12, etc., and are pulled from Fantasy Pros consensus expert rankings.

LAST WEEK

In Week 10, I struggled mightily except for one of my predictions. Trevor Lawrence underperformed to his ECR of QB9, but even I didn’t think he would end up as low as his finish of QB31.

Unfortunately, I was wrong with my second sit– Russell Wilson who ended up as QB11 on the week. Kyler Murray did not have a terrible start to the 2023 season. However, I thought he would be a top 10 quarterback, and he finished as QB13 in Week 10. My biggest miss of the week by far was Will Levis. The Titans QB had a total lackluster week ending as QB26.

I hope to get back on track in the second half of the season, just like many NFL teams are trying to do.

WEEK 11 STARTS

Brock Purdy, 49ers, QB11

Brock Purdy has finished as a top-12 QB in two of his last three games. Overall, this season, he has 5 top-12 performances. Purdy struggled at times during the 49ers three-game losing streak but seems to be returning to early-season form. He is currently QB11 on the season. One of his biggest assets right now is his accuracy, having a 7th best completion percentage of 68.8%.

In Week 11, the 49ers face a very pass-funnel-heavy defense in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The defense is giving up 19 FPPG to QBs, the fifth most in the NFL. They have struggled even more lately by giving up 25.6 FPPG in the last three games. The Buccaneers are giving up 285.3 passing YPG, the second most in the NFL. Can the Buccaneers defense step up against a tough matchup?

The 49ers offense will have all their weapons back for the 2nd straight week. And last week, Purdy was QB6, so he should continue to trend upwards. According to Dynasty Nerds’ own Brad Custer’s Positional Matchup article, Purdy has the third-best match with 25% P.O.A. Purdy is a must-start in all formats and could be a top 8 QB in Week 11.

Jordan Love, Packers, QB18

Jordan Love has had five games this season as a top-12 performer. Love has finished as a low-end QB1 in three of the last six games. Love had many doubters coming into the season, and so far, he is outperforming some of the doubters as the current QB13. He has an ADOT of 9.2, which is towards the top of the NFL.

The Packers are facing a lackluster pass defense in the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers have given up the most yards in the NFL, allowing 2,841 yards this season. The Chargers are giving up 20.9 FPPG to QBs, which is last in the NFL. They have improved in the last three games; however, two were against the Bears and Jets. No matter the offense, it will be difficult for the Chargers to have a top-level performance.

Jordan Love is not an elite QB, but he is capable of having good games against weaker defenses. The Chargers defense has given up six 20-plus fantasy point games to QBs this season. Love has an ECR of QB18, and that is too low. Love is a must-start in SF leagues and a low-end streaming option in 1QB leagues.

WEEK 11 SITS

Josh Allen, Bills, QB6

Josh Allen struggled in Week 10 against the Broncos, finishing as QB15, but he has had seven games with more than 20 points for the season. Coming into Week 11, Allen is QB1 in the NFL. However, the Bills and Allen have yet to be close to perfect. Allen leads the NFL with 11 TDs but has thrown 11 INTs, which is the most in the league. After a 5-5 start to the season, the Bills fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. Will a new coordinator be the spark Allen needs for Week 11?

The New York Jets defense is the strength of the team. They are 11th in points allowed to QBs, giving up 14.4 FPPG, and are first in the NFL in the past three weeks giving up 9.1 FPPG. In nine games, the Jets have only given up 1,524 passing yards and 9 TDs. In the turnover game, they have 15 total turnovers, including 9 interceptions. Can they continue their recent success against the Bills?

Josh Allen has plenty of experience against the Jets. Allen’s all-time record against the Jets is 6-4. In Week 1 this season, Allen played against the Jets in New York and finished as QB20. Can new offensive coordinator Joe Brady lead the Bills to a win and get Allen’s fantasy season back on track? The stifling Jets defense will do this once again in Week 11. You probably have to start him if you have him, but Allen will finish as a fringe QB1.

Joshua Dobbs, Vikings, QB15

Joshua Dobbs has played in 2 games for the Minnesota Vikings and has been a top-12 QB in both games. For the season, he is QB7 and has shown that he is more than just a backup in the NFL. As a Viking, Dobbs has 5 total TDs, 2 of which are rushing TDs.

In Week 11, the Vikings are facing the Denver Broncos. The Broncos have been struggling for much of the season. They are giving up 18.6 FPPG to QBs, 16th in the NFL. The tough beginning of the season has hurt the team’s ranking. They have shown significant improvements in the last four games, giving up 14.2 FPPG. The Broncos defense has given up 17 passing TDs in 2023 but only 4 in the last four games.

Joshua Dobbs has had a remarkable 2023 for his circumstances and should rostered in every league format. But with a P.O.A of -26 coupled with the fact that the Broncos have performed better recently, this might not be the week to start Dobbs. With an ECR of QB15, Dobbs should not be started in 1QB leagues if you have a better option.
