Welcome back, IDP Nerds! Week 1 is officially in the books, which means we finally have some real football to work with for the Week 2 IDP Waiver Wire. Snap counts, injuries, and rookies playing their first NFL games have already given us a much better idea of which players deserve our attention heading into Week 2.
We also know every IDP league is different. A player sitting on waivers in one league might have been rostered for months in another, so I always try to give you a few names for those deeper leagues as well. Starting this week, I’ll also be naming Glosser’s No. 1 Add, my favorite waiver claim regardless of position. As always, we’re not just chasing one big performance. We’re looking for playing time, opportunity, and players who could become much harder to add if we wait another week.

Best Defensive Line Waiver Pickups | Week 2 IDP

Glosser’s No. 1 Add: Kwity Paye
Kwity Paye | Las Vegas Raiders | 10-15% FAAB
The Las Vegas Raiders have been looking for a running mate for Maxx Crosby, and Kwity Paye made an immediate impact in his first game with the team. Paye racked up 6 tackles and 2 sacks while playing just 57% of the defensive snaps in Week 1. The veteran pass rusher recorded 8 sacks in both 2023 and 2024 but has never played alongside an EDGE rusher as talented as Crosby.
Paye is a strong add for IDP managers needing DL help and could become a consistent contributor for dynasty teams looking to make a playoff run. Paye was one of the top-scoring defensive linemen in Week 1. The sacks won’t always be there, but the 6 tackles are just as encouraging. If Paye can give us a tackle floor while benefiting from all the attention Crosby commands, this could be a career year for the veteran pass rusher.
Josiah Stewart | Los Angeles Rams | 3-5% FAAB
The Los Angeles Rams haven’t had the start to the season they hoped for. Star EDGE rusher Myles Garrett is headed to injured reserve, which should mean a much bigger role for Josiah Stewart. The former Michigan pass rusher recorded 3 sacks as a rookie and started the 2026 season with 6 tackles on just 43% of the defensive snaps. Stewart was expected to be more of a rotational player this season, but that changes with Garrett expected to miss at least 4 games.
Stewart should see a big jump in snaps starting in Week 2 and gets a New York Giants offense that struggled to protect its quarterback last season and allowed 2 sacks in Week 1. I’m willing to spend 3-5% FAAB on Stewart and get him into my lineup while Garrett is sidelined. We don’t know exactly what his new snap share will look like yet, but I recommend adding him now rather than waiting a week and paying more if he takes advantage of the opportunity.
| Player | Pos | Team | Priority | FAAB | Why Weβre Adding |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kwity Paye | DL | LV | Must Add | 10-15% | 6 tackles and 2 sacks in Week 1 while playing 57% of the snaps. Playing opposite Maxx Crosby gives Paye a chance to put together one of his best seasons. |
| Josiah Stewart | DL | LAR | Strong Add | 3-5% | Myles Garrett is headed to IR, which should open up a much bigger role for Stewart after he recorded 6 tackles on a 43% snap share in Week 1. |
| Kendal Daniels | LB | ATL | Strong Add | 5-10% | Earned the LB2 job in Atlanta and played 67% of the snaps in Week 1. The tackle numbers were quiet, but the role gives him room to grow. |
| Del’Shawn Phillips | LB | LAC | Streamer | 0-5% | Earned a starting role before Week 1 and finished with 6 tackles on 55% of the snaps. A cheap LB depth option with a favorable Week 2 matchup. |
| Tyrique Stevenson | DB | CHI | Strong Add | 3-5% | Played 79% of the snaps in Week 1 and has already shown a strong tackle floor throughout his career. A player worth getting ahead of in Dennis Allen’s defense. |
| Keionte Scott | DB | TB | Streamer | 0-5% | Played 73% of the snaps in his NFL debut and recorded 4 solo tackles. Jacob Parrish’s back injury could lead to even more playing time. |
Best Linebacker Waiver Pickups | Week 2 IDP
Kendal Daniels | Atlanta Falcons | 5-10% FAAB
Kendal Daniels became a popular name in IDP circles this preseason after earning the LB2 job in Atlanta. Savvy managers may have already added him before Week 1, but if he’s still available in your league, I wouldn’t wait much longer. Daniels played 67% of the defensive snaps in Week 1 and finished with just 4 tackles. The tackle numbers aren’t anything special, but seeing him play nearly 70% of snaps in his first game has my attention.
It’s hard to find starting linebackers on the waiver wire once the season gets going, and Daniels is a player whose value could keep rising. Divine Deablo is still the top LB in Atlanta, but he hasn’t played a full 17-game season since 2021. Daniels already has a starting job, and his role could grow throughout the season. I’m willing to spend 5-10% FAAB before the tackle numbers start showing up and he becomes a much more expensive waiver claim.
Del’Shawn Phillips | Los Angeles Chargers | 0-5% FAAB
Del’Shawn Phillips wasn’t a player many IDP managers had on their radar heading into the season. The veteran linebacker earned a starting job just before Week 1 and made the most of it, finishing with 6 tackles while playing 55% of the defensive snaps. I’m not ready to call Phillips a weekly starter after one game, especially in a Chargers defense that hasn’t consistently produced multiple fantasy-relevant linebackers. However, there’s enough here to make him worth an add in deeper leagues.
Phillips also gets a matchup I like this week against Las Vegas. The Raiders gave up 23 tackles to starting linebackers in Week 1, which could give him another chance to put up useful numbers even if his snap share doesn’t increase. You can never have enough LB depth with injuries and roles changing from week to week. Phillips isn’t someone I’m spending big on, but for 0-5% FAAB, he’s a cheap add who can provide depth and potentially help your lineup right away.

Best Defensive Back Waiver Pickups | Week 2 IDP
Tyrique Stevenson | Chicago Bears | 3-5% FAAB
Tyrique Stevenson is one of those players I’d rather be a week early on than a week late. The Bears corner played 79% of the defensive snaps in Week 1 and finished with 18.8 fantasy points. I’m not chasing the fantasy points here as much as I am the tackle production. Stevenson has averaged 71 tackles per season over his first 3 years in the NFL, which gives him a nice floor at a position where we can sometimes be too dependent on big plays.
If Stevenson stays healthy, this will be his first full season under Dennis Allen, and that’s another reason I’m interested in getting ahead of this one. Allen has a strong history of producing fantasy-relevant defensive backs, including 3 top-54 fantasy DBs last season. Week 1 was a high-scoring game, so I’m not expecting Stevenson to put up 18+ points every week, but his tackle production is nothing new. I’m willing to spend 3-5% FAAB to see where this goes. He’s a must-add for me in CB-required leagues, and I’d rather grab him now than wait another week and watch his price rise.
Keionte Scott | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 0-5% FAAB
I might be showing a little Miami Hurricanes bias here, but Keionte Scott is a player I’ve been excited to watch at the NFL level. Scott made his presence felt at Miami and was never afraid to come downhill and make a play against the run. That’s something I always like to see from a defensive back when looking for potential IDP production. In his NFL debut, Scott played 73% of the defensive snaps and finished with 4 tackles, all solo.
That amount of playing time in his first NFL game has my attention. Jacob Parrish is dealing with a back injury, and that could mean even more snaps for the young cornerback if Parrish misses time. I’m not spending much on a rookie DB after one game, but this is exactly the type of player I like taking a chance on early in the season. For 0-5% FAAB, I’m willing to add Scott now and see where this goes. If the snaps continue, I think his style of play gives him a chance to become a useful IDP option sooner than expected.
Final Thoughts
Week 1 is always fun because we finally get some answers after an entire offseason of guessing. We also get plenty of new questions. Most dynasty managers aren’t looking to blow a big chunk of their FAAB budget after one week, and I don’t blame them. That can also create some value on the waiver wire. A player who might not draw a huge bid this week could become much more popular after another strong performance.
That’s why I’m willing to take some chances early. If the playing time is there and the opportunity looks good, I’d rather spend a few FAAB dollars now than wait until everyone else in my league wants the same player. That will do it for the Week 2 IDP Waiver Wire. Good luck with your claims this week, IDP Nerds! As always, feel free to reach out to me on X @Glosser13 with any IDP questions.
