Tier 1 | Elite QB1

Player Opponent Confidence Meter Fantasy Points P/G Total Yards/G QB Rate vs Man QB Rate vs Zone CPOE Deep Throw % ADJ Comp % EZ Atts
Josh Allen LAR 97% 30.8 289.3 104.7 96.6 6.8 16.0 78.2 4.0
Matthew Stafford BUF 97% 18.4 302.5 95.1 76.9 1.1 13.0 72.2 4
Joe Burrow MIA 95% 22.7 302.3 106.3 95.3 3.3 7.6 78.0 6

Josh Allen doesn’t have great matchup through the air against the Rams’ secondary as no QB has gone over 210 passing yards, but that almost doesn’t matter. Allen has scored at least 1 rushing touchdown in every game this season.

Despite the injuries to his receivers, Joe Burrow is still a great option against a below-average defense that has allowed at least 2 passing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks in 3 of 4 games this season.

Tier 2 | Strong QB1

Player Opponent Confidence Meter Fantasy Points P/G Total Yards/G QB Rate vs Man QB Rate vs Zone CPOE Deep Throw % ADJ Comp % EZ Atts
Jared Goff ARI 94% 26.0 307.3 109.3 102.8 8.2 6.8 81.4 11
Trevor Lawrence PHI 94% 20.3 219.3 91.3 119.1 9.2 6.7 80.4 8
Dak Prescott TB 93% 23.8 282.8 97.0 99.8 3.7 7.3 78.3 10

Start Jared Goff this week against a Cardinals defense that has allowed opposing quarterbacks to throw 3 or more passing touchdowns in 3 straight games.

Lamar Jackson would likely be in this tier if he were playing, but all signs point to Tyler Huntley starting in Week 5.

Tier 3 | Matchup-Driven QB1/High-End QB2 Options

Player Opponent Confidence Meter Fantasy Points P/G Total Yards/G QB Rate vs Man QB Rate vs Zone CPOE Deep Throw % ADJ Comp % EZ Atts
Drake Maye LV 91% 13.4 247.5 52.1 73.2 8.7 14.5 79.4 9
Brock Purdy SEA 91% 30.6 282.3 139.1 117.9 2.8 6.2 77.6 8
Jacoby Brissett DET 90% 17.8 215.3 46.1 88.4 2.9 7.2 78.8 10.0
Kirk Cousins NE 88% 24.7 256.0 107.4 99.3 2.0 9.0 74.2 11

Brock Purdy has a tough matchup against Seattle, which hasn’t allowed a quarterback to throw for over 200 passing yards this season. Purdy has also thrown an interception in 5 of his 7 career games against the Seahawks.

Start Jacoby Brissett, who faces a Lions defense that has allowed at least 2 passing touchdowns in every game this season. Detroit also allows the 4th-highest ADJ Comp%, while Brissett ranks inside the top 10 among current starting quarterbacks in that category.

Look for Drake Maye to continue airing the ball out in Week 5 against a Raiders secondary that allows the 5th-most passes of 20+ yards.

Tier 4 | Volatile QB2 Starters
Player Opponent Confidence Meter Fantasy Points P/G Total Yards/G QB Rate vs Man QB Rate vs Zone CPOE Deep Throw % ADJ Comp % EZ Atts
Jameis Winston WAS 87% 9.5 130.7 11.6 90.2 -8.8 16.7 63.2 2

Bo Nix LAC 84% 15.8 211.0 43.2 89.7 -2.4 8.1 74.6 6
Jalen Hurts JAX 83% 20.3 204.5 102.8 85.3 -2.7 12.3 70.3 9
Geno Smith CLE 83% 17.4 234.5 116.9 108.8 5.0 10.3 80.9 3
Aaron Rodgers IND 81% 18.3 252.8 73.9 87.4 -4.5 15.0 67.9 9
Sam Darnold SF 80% 17.8 190.3 79.4 98.2 1.1 5.8 76.2 5

Jameis Winston seems to have found his passing groove again, and he now faces a Commanders defense that has allowed 3 passing touchdowns in 3 of its first 4 games.

Jalen Hurts may be forced to run more due to the lack of talent at running back, which could be a plus for his fantasy value. However, expect an interception to come his way, as the Jaguars have forced at least 1 interception in every game this season.

Jordan Love is a bit of a concern for me against the Bears, who run the 2nd-highest rate of man coverage in the league. Love has struggled against man coverage this season with a 72.6 QB rating.

Geno Smith has a plus matchup against the Browns, who run the highest rate of man coverage in the league. Smith has a 116.0 QB rating against man coverage, so expect him to thrive in this matchup.

Jayden Daniels is trending toward playing in Week 5. If he can’t go, rookie Athan Kaliakmanis would make his 1st career start, but he would be a Tier 6 QB.

Tier 5 | Desperation Superflex
Player Opponent Confidence Meter Fantasy Points P/G Total Yards/G QB Rate vs Man QB Rate vs Zone CPOE Deep Throw % ADJ Comp % EZ Atts
Kyler Murray NO 78% 7.8 158.3 35.1 87.1 7.1 8.5 83.1 0

Deshaun Watson NYJ 70% 19.3 245.8 90.1 107.5 -0.8 8.8 77.1 6

C.J. Stroud should be a very efficient quarterback against the Titans, who allow the 2nd-highest CPOE and ADJ Comp%. Stroud ranks inside the top 15 in CPOE, so he should be able to offer a solid floor in Week 5.

Jalon Daniels could be a sneaky start in Superflex leagues this week, as the Cowboys have allowed 50+ rushing yards to a quarterback in 3 of their first 4 games. Daniels ran for 55 yards in Week 4, and his production on the ground could be enough to make him a viable start.

Tyler Huntley could be the ultimate boom-or-bust quarterback against the Falcons, who have allowed plenty of passing yards, but touchdowns could be tough to come by. Huntley also has only 2 career games with more than 1 total touchdown.

Tier 6 | QBs to Avoid if Possible
Player Opponent Confidence Meter Fantasy Points P/G Total Yards/G QB Rate vs Man QB Rate vs Zone CPOE Deep Throw % ADJ Comp % EZ Atts
Cam Ward HOU 65% 15.2 195.8 82.9 81.1 4.0 5.0 80.2 7

Malik Willis CIN 60% 10.9 206.0 72.6 85.4 -4.5 10.4 68.5 12

Justin Herbert has thrown an interception in 3 of his last 4 outings against the Broncos.

Look for Tyson Bagent to play it safe with shorter throws, as the Packers have allowed the 3rd-lowest deep throw% in the league. There isn’t much upside in Bagent’s game against Green Bay.

Expect Kyren Williams’ recent opportunities in the receiving game to continue against a Bills defense that has allowed 25+ receiving yards to RBs in 3 of its first 4 games.

BAL Derrick Henry ATL 94% 21.8 69 59 82.1 6.7 29.3 1.22 0.09 2.38 1.82

The Bengals may be forced to lean on Chase Brown without their star receivers, and he has a favorable matchup against the Dolphins, who have allowed a 70+ yard rusher in 3 of their last 4 games.

In no way is this a fade for Christian McCaffrey, but he has not scored a touchdown against the Seahawks in his last 4 games against them.

Without Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry could struggle to find running room, as the Falcons allow the fewest YBCO in the league. Henry is averaging just 1.82 YBCO this season.

BUF James Cook III LAR 88% 15.9 64 68 54.2 8.4 41.9 0.40 0.17 1.70 4.30

Fire up D’Andre Swift again this week. He should regain his workload against a Packers defense that has allowed a rushing touchdown in every game this season.

Javonte Williams may have a tough matchup on the ground, but his role in the receiving game is favorable against the Buccaneers, who allow the 3rd-most YPRR to opposing RBs. This should give Williams opportunities to get open and produce in the passing game.

James Cook could struggle to repeat last week’s performance against a Rams defense that allows the 2nd-fewest missed tackles forced and has not allowed a rushing touchdown to an RB this season.

Aaron Jones should thrive against a Saints defense that just got shredded on the ground and has allowed a rushing touchdown in every game this season.

Keep an eye on Rico Dowdle’s injury report this week. If he plays, Warren should remain in this tier but drop slightly, while Dowdle would appear in the borderline Tier 6 running back range.

In London, expect Bhayshul Tuten to make some noise and force missed tackles against an Eagles defense that allows the 2nd-most missed tackles forced in the league.

Quinshon Judkins could have a plus game against the Jets, who have allowed a 99+ yard rusher and a rushing touchdown in back-to-back games.

Braelon Allen handled every RB carry in Week 4, and if that continues, he could have a solid game against a Browns defense that has allowed an 80+ yard rusher in 3 straight games.

Saquon Barkley would likely be at the top of this tier, but all signs point to him missing Week 5.

Omarion Hampton could have a decent outing against the Broncos, who allow the 2nd-most YACO in the league. Hampton has found some success after contact, averaging 2.61 YACO, which ranks 6th among starting RBs.

Kyle Monangai is the ultimate boom-or-bust running back in Week 5. If he gets the workload, he could have an elite performance against a Packers defense that has allowed the 2nd-most fantasy points to RBs.

Blake Corum offers a solid floor play against the Bills, who have allowed multiple RBs from the same team to rush for 40+ yards in 3 of their first 4 games.

Don’t sleep on Keaton Mitchell, who is starting to see more work in the offense. His ability to force missed tackles ranks inside the top 7, and he faces a Broncos defense that allows the most missed tackles forced in the league. Mitchell could be a solid sleeper this week.

Tyler Allgeier has some touchdown upside this week after seeing red-zone work last week. He now faces a Lions defense that has allowed a rushing touchdown in 3 of its first 4 games.

Austin Ekeler could see an expanded role with Jacory Croskey-Merritt continuing to run inefficiently and Rachaad White questionable for Week 5. Ekeler faces a Giants defense that allows the 5th-most YBCO in the league. If White does miss, Ekeler could move up to tier 6.

Will Shipley would likely get the start in Week 5 with Saquon Barkley trending in the wrong direction. It’s a tough matchup on the ground, but the Jaguars have allowed the most receptions to RBs this season.

Ty Johnson could be worth a play if needed in PPR leagues, as we saw just 2 weeks ago when he had 4 receptions for 50 yards.

Samaje Perine is a low-upside, floor-type running back who could get you some points against a Dolphins defense that allows the 3rd-most fantasy points to opposing RBs.

Keep an eye on Rhamondre Stevenson‘s practice reports as he deals with an injury. If he were to miss Week 5, TreVeyon Henderson could move up to Tier 5 with upside to reach Tier 4 against the Raiders.

Look to avoid Kenny Gainwell after scoring last week, as the Cowboys allow the 4th-fewest receptions to RBs, limiting his upside in the receiving game.

Brian Robinson hasn’t reached 50 rushing yards in 3 straight games, and the Ravens have not allowed multiple RBs from the same backfield to produce significant yardage against them.

Avoid Kaelon Black this week, as Seattle has been elite against RBs. Black likely won’t be effective enough with his limited touches to provide much fantasy value.

In the deepest of leagues, Dameon Pierce could be an option for the Eagles, but the matchup on the ground is not favorable.

Look for Amon-Ra St.Brown to domiante against the Cardinals secondary who have allowed 80 yards and a touchdown in each game this year.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba may be more of a floor play among the eltie with 80 yards in 3 straigth games vs the 49ers but he has never scored in his careere against them.

Drake London should cominte his domiannce as the Ravnes have allowed oppsoing WR1s 80 yards in 3 straight games.

If Ja’Marr Chase plays in Week 5, he would move into Tier 1, but recent reports suggest he is trending in the wrong direction.

Zay Flowers has averaged 52 receiving yards with just 1 touchdown in 4 career games without Lamar Jackson. Last week, Flowers had just 1 catch for -6 yards with Tyler Huntley, but the Falcons have allowed a 100-yard receiver in 3 straight games.

Garrett Wilson should be able to bounce back at home against a Browns defense that has allowed a touchdown to an opposing WR in every game this season.

If Tee Higgins plays, he should offer an elite floor against the Dolphins. However, it’s worth noting that Miami has allowed just 1 receiver to surpass 60 receiving yards this season.

Justin Jefferson is reportedly trending in the right direction for Week 5, which should be good for his fantasy value. The Saints allow the 5th-highest 1st Read%, while Jefferson ranks inside the top 12 with a 31.2% 1st Read%.

Michael Wilson looks like the Cardinals’ WR1 at the moment, and he faces a Lions defense that has allowed opposing WR1s to produce 100+ receiving yards in 3 of their first 4 games.

Look for Parker Washington to bounce back in London against an Eagles defense that allows the highest Slot Target%. Washington runs the highest percentage of slot routes among Jaguars receivers, giving him a favorable matchup.

Carnell Tate is expected to have a big game against the Texans, who have allowed opposing WR1s to score 12+ fantasy points in every game this season.

The Packers receivers have an interesting matchup against the Bears, who allow the 4th-lowest TPRR in the league. I’m slightly more concerned about Christian Watson, who has a lower TPRR than Matthew Golden and could see fewer opportunities. However, Watson’s touchdown upside remains high.

If DeVonta Smith happens to return this week, which seems unlikely, he would fall into this range.

If Jayden Daniels returns this week, it would give a boost to Stefon Diggs, who has struggled without Daniels on the field. Diggs faces a Giants defense that has allowed an opposing receiver to score a touchdown in every game this season.

Mike Evans is a fade this week as he continues to deal with injuries and faces a Seattle defense that has allowed just 1 receiver to surpass 60 receiving yards this season.

Romeo Doubs, who has come alive in recent weeks, faces a Raiders defense that has allowed a receiver to produce 95+ receiving yards in 3 of its first 4 games.

Keep an eye on the practice reports for Ladd McConkey, DJ Moore, and Terry McLaurin to see if they will play in Week 5. McLaurin is trending in the right direction, while McConkey and Moore appear to be trending in the wrong direction.

Chris Godwin may be the Buccaneers receiver to play this week, as opposing WR1s tend to score 10+ fantasy points against the Cowboys. This is especially true for receivers playing in the slot, where Godwin runs a high percentage of his routes.

Malik Washington has some interesting upside in Week 5. The Bengals allow the highest YAC per reception in the league, while Washington ranks 3rd among starting receivers in YAC per reception.

Tre Harris is an interesting play in Week 5, as the Broncos are dealing with injuries to multiple cornerbacks. Harris has produced 50+ receiving yards in 3 straight games.

Dontayvion Wicks could be a decent FLEX play in Week 5, as the Jaguars allow the 3rd-highest YPRR in the league. Wicks should have opportunities to rack up yards in London, especially with DeVonta Smith trending in the wrong direction.

Keon Coleman is coming off a massive Week 4 performance, but don’t expect the same outcome against the Rams, even without DJ Moore. The Rams haven’t allowed a receiver to surpass 50 receiving yards this season.

The Colts receivers could be interesting in Week 5 with Keenan Allen likely to return, as the Steelers have allowed an 85+ yard receiver in 3 straight games. Josh Downs should be fine, but his target share last week was concerning.

Malachi Fields could be an interesting player prop for receptions in Week 5. He has recorded 2 catches in every game this season, while the Commanders have allowed multiple opposing receivers to record 3+ receptions in every game.

Michael Pittman Jr. is expected to miss a few weeks now.

Wan’Dale Robinson has found the end zone in back-to-back games, and Houston has allowed 6 touchdowns to opposing WRs this season.

Dohnte Meyers could be an interesting FLEX play for the Bengals if both Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase miss Week 5. Miami has allowed just 1 receiver to surpass 60 receiving yards this season, but the potential volume could be enough for Meyers to provide FLEX value.

Courtland Sutton has performed well against the Chargers, scoring a touchdown in 4 of his last 6 matchups and recording 50+ receiving yards in 4 of his last 5 games against them.

Isaac TeSlaa could be an interesting option in the deepest of leagues as a potential long touchdown play. Arizona allows the 2nd-highest YPRR in the league, while TeSlaa has a high YPRR himself.

Despite some success last week, Rashid Shaheed should not be considered a great deep-league play against the 49ers, who allow the 3rd-fewest YPRR in the league.

Antonio Williams could look to bounce back if Jayden Daniels returns, as he has been far more productive with Daniels on the field.

If you’re a betting person, take a shot on Trey McBride scoring 2 touchdowns, as the Lions have allowed a TE to score multiple touchdowns in 3 of their first 4 games.

Look for Sam LaPorta to thrive against the Cardinals, who have allowed a TE to produce 50+ receiving yards in 3 of their first 4 games.

George Kittle has been productive against Seattle, scoring a touchdown in 5 of his last 7 matchups against the Seahawks.

Isaiah Likely has massive upside against the Commanders, who allow the 5th-most YPRR to opposing TEs. Likely ranks 1st in TPRR, meaning he should see plenty of opportunities in this matchup. Washington also allows the 2nd-highest 1st Read%, while Likely ranks 3rd with a 34.1% 1st Read%.

CIN Mike Gesicki MIA 85% 9.8 53.8 9.6 0.20 1.70 10.4 84.8 — 7.3

With Dalton Kincaid’s recent struggles, things won’t get any easier against the Rams, who have not allowed a tight end to surpass 35 receiving yards this season.

Tucker Kraft could be a risky play against the Bears, who have not allowed a tight end to surpass 30 receiving yards. Kraft also has just 67 receiving yards in four career games against Chicago.

Mike Gesicki could be in for a big Week 5 performance against Miami, which has allowed a tight end to surpass 50 receiving yards in three straight games, especially if Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase are ruled out.

Look for Hunter Henry to find himself in the end zone in Week 5 against a Raiders defense that has allowed the 2nd-most touchdowns to the TE position.

Harold Fannin has a positive matchup against the Jets, who allow the 5th-highest TPRR to opposing TEs. Fannin is on the plus side of a .21 TPRR, meaning he should see plenty of opportunities to produce against the Jets.

Oronde Gadsden may be able to build off a decent Week 4, as the Broncos have allowed 60+ yards to a TE in 3 of their first 4 games this season.

Brenton Strange gets a bump this week against the Eagles, who allow the 3rd-highest 1st Read% and the most targets to the slot. Strange has a solid 19% 1st Read% and is running 41% of his routes from the slot.

Dalton Schultz should only be considered a floor play this week. As a member of the Texans, Schultz has just 2 games with over 35 receiving yards against the Titans and has never scored a touchdown against them.

If you’re truly desperate, Greg Dulcich or even Will Kacmarek have a positive matchup against the Bengals, who have allowed a TE to produce 60+ receiving yards in 3 straight games. However, it’s hard to trust anyone in the Miami offense.

Darnell Washington could be a super-sneaky play against the Colts, who allow the 4th-most YPRR to opposing TEs. Washington ranks inside the top 20 in YPRR at 1.89, giving him an opportunity to produce against a Colts defense that has struggled against the pass.
