The Week 8 Waiver Wire & FAAB Guide is designed for deep dynasty leagues, highlighting under-the-radar players who could deliver immediate production or develop into valuable long-term assets. Whether you’re looking to fill a roster hole or add upside for the future, these are the players worth targeting in Week 8.

All rostership percentages are based on 12-team Superflex tight-end premium dynasty leagues. At the time of publication, every player featured was rostered in 50% or fewer of Sleeper dynasty leagues. Please note this article is released prior to Sunday and Monday Night Football.

Week 8 Waiver Wire FAAB Guide

Below are our recommended FAAB bids for the top Week 8 waiver wire targets in 12-team Superflex dynasty leagues.

Week 8 Quarterback Waiver Wire Targets

Tyler Huntley | Baltimore Ravens | 46% Rostership | 3-5% FAAB

This is probably Tyler Huntley’s last start, with Lamar Jackson logging three limited practices this week. Huntley had a good game, finishing with 298 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception, while also picking up 12 yards on the ground in a loss against the Cincinnati Bengals. At the very least, Huntley needs to be rostered by the Jackson manager.

Joe Milton | Philadelphia Eagles | 40% Rostership | 3-5% FAAB

It appears this will be a lost season in Philadelphia. Jalen Hurts was placed on injured reserve due to a blood clot, and Philadelphia will need to see what they have in their quarterback room outside of Tanner McKee. Look for rookie Cole Payton and newly signed Joe Milton to get an opportunity to start in Philadelphia sometime this season.

Cole Payton | Philadelphia Eagles | 20% Rostership | 3-5% FAAB

See Joe Milton narrative. I will add that Cole Payton is currently listed as QB2 on the depth chart, so he appears to have the first chance at a starting role after Tanner McKee.

Week 8 Running Back Waiver Wire Targets

Trevor Etienne | Carolina Panthers | 35% Rostership | 1-3% FAAB

Trevor Etienne is serving as the RB2 in Carolina while AJ Dillon and Jonathon Brooks are out with injuries. Until either of them can return, I would roster Etienne if I were the Chuba Hubbard manager.

Tyler Goodson | Dallas Cowboys | 15% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

Although Dallas Cowboys running back Tyler Goodson has barely seen the field this year, he is the clear RB2 in Dallas as the handcuff for fantasy managers who have starter Javonte Williams rostered.

Khalil Herbert | Atlanta Falcons | 4% Rostership | 1-3% FAAB

The Falcons elevated Khalil Herbert from the practice squad to the active roster for Week 7, with Brian Robinson Jr. inactive due to a hamstring injury. Hamstrings are always a tricky beast to gauge on a return to play, so as long as Robinson is out of the lineup, Herbert will be the RB2 in Atlanta.

Corey Kiner | New England Patriots | 30% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

Corey Kiner has carved out a role in the Patriots’ three-man backfield alongside starter Rhamondre Stevenson and sophomore TreVeyon Henderson. If Stevenson or Henderson suffers an injury, Kiner will be in line for an increased workload.

Zonovan Knight | Arizona Cardinals | 50% Rostership | 4-6% FAAB

With Jeremiyah Love inactive again, Zonovan Knight was once again the most efficient Arizona Cardinals running back. Knight saw 7 carries for 48 rushing yards and caught 3 receptions for 15 receiving yards. If Love is inactive in Week 8, Knight gets a tremendous matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

Devin Singletary | New York Giants | 38% Rostership | 4-6% FAAB

Tyrone Tracy left the Giants’ Week 7 win over the Atlanta Falcons with a hamstring injury, allowing Devin Singletary to step into the RB2 role for New York. Singletary made the most of his opportunity with a 30-yard touchdown run in overtime to walk off with a win over the Texans. New York is on a bye in Week 8, but Tracy’s hamstring injury is a situation to monitor.

Sione Vaki | Detroit Lions | 27% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

Sione Vaki is the clear handcuff to Jahmyr Gibbs and needs to be rostered by Gibbs managers, at the very least, in the event something happens to Gibbs. I preached about Samaje Perine’s value, and now it appears Vaki will be my weekly soapbox running back to roster.

Week 8 Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Targets

Jalen Brooks | Arizona Cardinals | 5% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

Jalen Brooks has seen at least 6 targets in 2 of Arizona’s last 3 games. I would not break the bank to roster Brooks, as the targets have not translated into fantasy production, but I am intrigued by the heavy target volume on a team projected to play from behind often.

Josh Cameron | Jacksonville Jaguars | 43% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

With rumors swirling that Jacksonville may trade Brian Thomas Jr., Josh Cameron‘s role could increase, even though he has outproduced the first-rounder. Jacksonville was on a bye in Week 7, and this could be a sneaky pickup for the week.

Xavier Hutchinson | Houston Texans | 41% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

Xavier Hutchinson has seen at least 5 targets in every game for the Houston Texans except in Week 6. In Week 7, Hutchinson tied for the team lead in targets with 6 and found the end zone. I would bid a little more on Hutchinson if I was in a league that awarded return yardage.

Tez Johnson | Tampa Bay Bucccaneers | 40% Rostership | 1-3% FAAB

With Emeka Egbuka inactive for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tez Johnson stepped into a larger role. Johnson led the Buccaneers in receiving yards while also finding the end zone for the first time on the season, which was not saying much, as Tampa did not have to throw the ball much in a dominant win against the Carolina Panthers. Just like Hutchinson, I would bid a little more on Johnson if I was in a league that awarded return yardage.

Jordan Watkins | San Francisco 49ers | 32% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

With Mike Evans out of the lineup for San Francisco in Week 7, Jordan Watkins stepped into a larger role. Watkins led all 49ers receivers in targets (6) and receiving yards (56), and tied with Jacob Cowing for the lead in receptions (3).

Savion Williams | Green Bay Packers | 29% Rostership | 3-5% FAAB

Savion Williams continues to trend up in fantasy football after an impressive season debut last week. Williams had four catches for 32 yards and 8.1 PPR points in his first game of the season. Williams followed that performance up in Week 7 with 3 receptions for 47 receiving yards in a loss to the Detroit Lions. With Jayden Reed out for the year, Williams has firmly established himself as the WR3 in Green Bay.

Week 8 Tight End Waiver Wire Targets

Davis Allen | Los Angeles Rams | 2% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

With Davante Adams sidelined for a majority of the Rams’ regular season, the tight end room will be asked to take on a bigger role. With this tight end room, it’s really a pick-your-poison among Davis Allen, Tyler Higbee, and Colby Parkinson. In Week 7, Davis Allen was the main benefactor, catching 2 touchdowns in a Week 7 win against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Greg Dulcich | Miami Dolphins | 42% Rostership | 3-5% FAAB

Greg Dulcich had his best game of the season in Miami’s Week 7 win against the New York Jets. Dulcich caught all 5 of his targets for 86 receiving yards. He remains the Dolphins’ starting tight end and should be rostered.

Colby Parkinson | Los Angeles Rams | 43% Rostership | 3-5% FAAB

While Davis Allen caught 2 touchdowns, Colby Parkinson was second on the Los Angeles Rams with 6 targets, turning them into a 5-reception, 48-yard receiving performance. If I were prioritizing a Rams tight end to roster, it would be Parkinson.

Darnell Washington | Pittsburgh Steelers | 48% Rostership | 2-4% FAAB

With several Steelers wide receivers sidelined by injuries, Darnell Washington has caught a touchdown in 3 of his last 4 weeks. At the tight end position, sometimes all you can bank on for a productive week is a touchdown, and Washington has been providing that.

Over 50% Rostered | Week 8 Fantasy Football

Other players who are great waiver wire additions but have over 50% rostership include: Keenan Allen, AJ Barner, Rashod Bateman, Kendrick Bourne, Jacoby Brissett, Darius Cooper, Oscar Delp, DeMario Douglas, Evan Engram, Mike Gesicki, Hunter Henry, Tyler Higbee, Justice Hill, Xavier Hutchinson, Jauan Jennings, Roschon Johnson, Daniel Jones, Christian Kirk, Michael Mayer, J.J. McCarthy, Seth McGowan, Tanner McKee, Kendre Miller, Adonai Mitchell, Konata Mumpfield, Cade Otton, Michael Penix Jr., Samaje Perine, Dameon Pierce, Eli Raridon, Dylan Sampson, Dalton Schultz, Geno Smith, Mason Taylor, Zavion Thomas, Darren Waller, Jordan Watkins, Deshaun Watson, Kyle Williams, and Malik Willis
