Michael Penix Jr. | QB | Trending Up

Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is seeing his dynasty stock rise after multiple three-touchdown performances, showing signs of hitting his stride following last season’s torn ACL. Since returning, Penix ranks fourth in quarterback rating and seventh in completion percentage (66.7%), making him an appealing QB2 for dynasty contenders looking to strengthen their quarterback room. However, his extensive injury history and limited rushing upside raise concerns about his long-term fantasy ceiling and ability to maintain his dynasty value.

For rebuilding dynasty managers, this could be the perfect sell-high window to move Penix for future draft capital or a younger asset with a more secure long-term outlook. While Penix is producing at a high level right now, another significant injury could jeopardize his future in Atlanta, making this an ideal opportunity for dynasty managers to capitalize on his rising market value before it potentially declines.

Daniel Jones | QB | Trending Down

Quarterback Daniel Jones has struggled to regain his 2025 form following a torn Achilles, ranking outside the top 20 in completion percentage and quarterback rating while throwing 7 interceptions through 7 games. His advanced metrics haven’t been much better, ranking 27th in both CPOE and adjusted completion percentage, but injuries to his top pass catchers have also contributed to his struggles. Before his injury last season, Jones ranked third in completion percentage and inside the top 10 in quarterback rating, showing he can still play at a high level.

With the Colts lacking a 2027 first-round pick and heavily invested in their current roster, Jones has a realistic chance to remain their starter next season. For dynasty contenders, his declining market value creates an opportunity to acquire an affordable QB3 with QB2 upside who could rebound with healthier weapons and another year removed from his injury.

Favorable Strength of Schedule Week (10 to 14)

We’re introducing a new series to our Weekend Checklist, focusing on strength of schedule and how it can help fantasy managers make a playoff push. We’ve compiled a wide range of advanced statistics, including fantasy points allowed, yards after contact (YACO), defensive coverage tendencies, coverage strengths and weaknesses, and several other key metrics to evaluate favorable matchups between fantasy players and opposing defenses.

We’ll break down the favorable strength of schedule for each positional group and highlight players we believe are worth targeting in trades. Whether you’re looking to buy low or strengthen your starting lineup, these players could provide the production you need down the stretch. With the fantasy playoffs approaching, now is the time to take advantage of favorable schedules and make the moves that could help you secure a playoff spot.

Quarterbacks

Favorable Week 10-14 Matchups
Disregard Cam Ward Daniel Jones
Buy Low Sam Darnold Jared Goff CJ Stroud
Buy High Caleb Williams Trevor Lawrence Jayden Daniels Brock Purdy

Caleb Williams

If Caleb Williams struggles against Seattle this week, jump at the chance to buy low. Williams starts this stretch with a Week 10 bye but follows it with four favorable matchups against below-average defenses he could dominate. He also faces opponents that allow a high CPOE, giving him plenty of opportunities to connect with his pass catchers for yards and touchdowns. Williams is worth the asking price in dynasty leagues, especially for managers looking to make a playoff push.

Sam Darnold

He hasn’t been the best fantasy asset this season, but that’s what makes him a good buy-low target. He does have a bye week and faces the 49ers once, but he also gets favorable matchups against the Raiders, Cowboys, and Giants, who have allowed plenty of fantasy points to quarterbacks this year.

C.J Stroud

C.J. Stroud is on his bye week, making this another great opportunity to buy low on a quarterback who will be past his bye. Stroud could be even better as Marvin Harrison Jr. becomes more involved and Tank Dell returns, potentially making this passing attack elite. He faces three opponents that rank in the bottom 10 in limiting fantasy points to quarterbacks. The Texans’ defense has struggled at times, so the team will need to continue relying on Stroud and his weapons to produce offensively.

Running Backs

Favorable Week 10-14 Matchups
Hold Jordan Mason/Aaron Jones Quinshon Judkins
Buy Low Travis Etienne Rachaad White/JCM Zach Charbonnett/Jadrian Price
Buy Low Breece Hall/Braelon Allen Bucky Irving/Kenny Gainwell
Buy High Jonathan Taylor James Cook

James Cook

James Cook is a great buy-high option. We know the Bills will look to run the ball more in colder weather, and Cook has already had his bye week. Buffalo has three divisional matchups, including two favorable games against the Jets and Dolphins, while also facing the Packers’ poor run defense. These opponents also allow plenty of yards after contact, an area where Cook has been elite this season. Cook is worth the high asking price and could be a valuable asset for your fantasy playoff push.

Travis Etienne

Travis Etienne Jr. is a riskier buy-low option since he still isn’t playing, but a Week 9 return seems possible. Etienne gets to face the Panthers twice and the Packers during this stretch. He also faces defenses that allow high yards per carry against both zone and gap rushing schemes, areas where Etienne was very efficient before going down with an injury. He could offer solid RB2 value for a team coming off its bye week that should have its offense figured out by Week 10.

Commanders Backfield

A buy-low option would be to see what it would take to acquire Rachaad White or Jacory Croskey-Merritt. The backfield has a solid schedule during this stretch, facing teams that allow high rushing yardage against both man and zone blocking schemes. Outside of the Bengals matchup, they also face the Giants, Texans, Titans, and Cardinals, which should be competitive games. Jayden Daniels makes this offense better, so either running back could be worth targeting as a bye-week replacement or even a risky FLEX option.

Wide Receivers

Favorable Week 10-14 Matchups
Super Buy Low Wan’Dale Robinson Roman Wilson Rashid Shaheed Xavier Worthy Josh Downs Kendrick Bourne DeMario Douglas
Buy Low Carnell Tate Germine Bernard Stefon Diggs Denzel Boston KC Concepcion Makai Lemon
Buy High DeVonta Smith Malik Nabers Tee Higgins Zay Flowers Justin Jefferson

Malik Nabers

Malik Nabers is heading into his bye week, so he’ll be available for all five games from Weeks 10–14. He has favorable matchups in the first four weeks of that stretch before facing a tougher Seattle defense in Week 14. However, acquiring a young, top-tier receiver like Nabers is important for fantasy contenders. He has been thriving this season, and even tough matchups shouldn’t scare you away. Nabers is an elite talent who can help you make a push toward the fantasy playoffs.

Carnell Tate

It’s the perfect time to buy low on rookie Carnell Tate, especially with him missing Week 8. Tate has one of the best schedules among fantasy receivers from Weeks 10–14, and you could even put Wan’Dale Robinson in that mix. While the Titans offense has been inconsistent, Tate has played better in recent weeks. His upcoming schedule also favors outside receivers, as several of those defenses allow plenty of fantasy points to receivers who line up out wide. Tate is worth the risk and could help fantasy managers make a push toward the playoffs.

Kendrick Bourne

Kendrick Bourne is a super buy-low option and might even be available on waivers in some leagues. He has two tough matchups to start this stretch but finishes with two favorable matchups before the Cardinals’ Week 14 bye. Almost three of those matchups allow a high number of fantasy points to slot receivers, and Bourne runs about 68% of his routes from the slot. The Cardinals will likely be playing from behind in several of these games, creating more passing opportunities that could help Bourne become a solid FLEX option.

Tight end

Favorable Week 10-14 Matchups
Hold Off Gunnar Helm Cade Otton Darren Waller
Super Buy Low Mike Gesicki Mason Taylor Terrance Ferguson Colby Parkinson
Buy Low Kenyon Sadiq Harold Fannin Travis Kelce Dallas Goedert
Buy High Colston Loveland Brock Bowers T.J. Hockenson

Colston Loveland

If you can still buy high on Colston Loveland, I’d do so now. His involvement in the offense has increased over the past few weeks with the return of Caleb Williams. He remains a young cornerstone tight end who has a favorable schedule ahead that could help you make the fantasy playoffs. He does have a bye in Week 10, but three of his four matchups leading into the playoffs are against teams allowing a high number of fantasy points per game to tight ends, including the Saints, Lions, and Dolphins.

Dallas Goedert

Since returning from injury, Dallas Goedert has put together two solid outings. However, we know this Eagles offense isn’t as elite as it once was, and Goedert is getting older, making him a good buy-low option for this stretch of games. He faces at least one team that allows a high number of fantasy points per game to tight ends and has no particularly bad matchups. He also faces several defenses that rely heavily on zone coverage, which is where Goedert has seen an increase in opportunities and production.

Rams TEs

If you can figure out which Rams tight end to acquire for the Week 10–14 stretch, you could have a good chance at some solid fantasy production. They face two favorable matchups against the Cardinals and Chiefs but also have tough matchups against the Packers and 49ers. However, those unfavorable matchups shouldn’t discourage you, as the Rams utilize their tight ends differently than most teams. Colby Parkinson, in particular, has thrived against zone coverage, making him an intriguing option against defenses that rely heavily on zone schemes.

DJ Vonnahme | TE | Iowa

Vs Wisconsin | 12:00p | Saturday, Oct. 31st

Iowa tight end DJ Vonnahme faces a tough matchup against Wisconsin, whose secondary has made significant improvements as the season has progressed. Vonnahme has put together a solid season, recording at least 40 receiving yards in three of his last four games. With Iowa losing its star running back, we could see the Hawkeyes lean more heavily on their passing attack, creating additional opportunities for Vonnahme. The biggest question is whether he can take advantage of an increased role and continue his recent production against a top-25-ranked Wisconsin team. This matchup will be a good test of Vonnahme’s ability to become a more reliable weapon in Iowa’s passing offense.

Jayden Maiava | QB | USC

@ USC | 7:30p | Saturday, Oct. 31st

USC quarterback Jayden Maiava faces a difficult matchup against Ohio State, which has one of the best secondaries in college football. The Buckeyes are allowing just 5.2 yards per attempt and a 52.5% completion rate this season. Maiava has been average at best throughout October, completing 62% of his passes while posting a 5-to-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio. However, this matchup presents a great opportunity for Maiava to improve his standing among the top quarterbacks in the 2027 NFL Draft class if he can deliver a strong performance against elite competition.

What we want to see from Maiava is how well he handles defensive pressure and whether he can keep USC’s offense moving against one of the nation’s top defenses. Ohio State also has an elite run defense, which could force USC into a one-dimensional passing attack and put even more pressure on Maiava to make plays. Ball security will be another major factor, as Maiava has thrown four interceptions over his last four games.

Ahmad Hardy | RB | Missouri

Vs Arkansas | 7:45p | Saturday, Oct. 31st

Top-ranked running back Ahmad Hardy is set to make his season debut for Missouri after spending the offseason recovering from a gunshot injury. Hardy will face an Arkansas defense that ranks 77th nationally against the run, giving him a favorable matchup in his return to the field. However, what I want to see most from Hardy is simply getting back on the field, regardless of how many touches or snaps he receives. It would be encouraging to see whether he still possesses the explosiveness, speed, and physical running style that made him one of the top running back prospects in the country. If Hardy plans to enter the 2027 NFL Draft, this game could be the first step toward rebuilding his draft stock and proving he can return to being an elite running back prospect.

Week 8 Dynasty Storyline

Who is going to handle the Seattle backfield rest of season?

It seems like Seattle’s backfield is finally getting back to full strength. Zach Charbonnet is expected to return in Week 8 or Week 9, while rookie Jadarian Price has had his practice window opened, putting him in position to return as early as Week 8 or within the next few weeks. Meanwhile, Emanuel Wilson and George Holani have both flashed some production through the first seven games. With multiple running backs potentially competing for touches, how will this backfield shake out for the rest of the season?

I believe we’ll see a combination of Charbonnet and Price leading this backfield moving forward. Wilson has put together some solid performances, but much of his production has come from a heavy workload rather than efficiency, as he is averaging fewer than 4.0 yards per carry. With the backfield getting healthier, Wilson will likely take a backseat to the other options.

Price is the running back I expect to handle most of the work between the 20s. Despite his fumbling issues, the rookie has quietly posted some of the best advanced rushing metrics in Seattle’s backfield. He is averaging an impressive 2.71 yards after contact per attempt (YACO/ATT), while his 19% explosive run rate leads the group. Those numbers suggest Price has been more effective than his overall production might indicate. His fumbling concerns have overshadowed what has otherwise been a promising start to his rookie season. If he can improve his ball security, there is a real opportunity for him to establish himself as Seattle’s primary early-down runner.

Charbonnet, meanwhile, should remain heavily involved, particularly in the red zone and on passing downs. He has established himself as a touchdown machine throughout his career, making him the most likely option to handle valuable goal-line opportunities. His ability to contribute in the passing game should also keep him on the field in important situations. George Holani could still mix into that passing-down role after showing he can handle those responsibilities this season, but I expect Charbonnet to receive the majority of those opportunities once he is fully healthy.

For dynasty managers, Price is the running back I’m most interested in buying. His advanced rushing metrics suggest there is more upside than his early-season production indicates, and his fumbling issues could create a buying window. Charbonnet should remain the safer option for contenders because of his touchdown upside and passing-game involvement. However, Price has an opportunity to emerge as the more explosive runner in this offense, making him an intriguing long-term investment. The biggest concern is that this could develop into a frustrating committee, limiting the weekly fantasy ceiling of both players for the remainder of 2026.
