Tier 1 | Elite QB1

Player Opponent Confidence Meter Fantasy Points P/G Total Yards/G QB Rate vs Man QB Rate vs Zone CPOE Deep Throw % ADJ Comp % EZ Atts
Patrick Mahomes LV 97% 26.9 284.3 120.5 88.1 5.4 8.2 82.6 4
Lamar Jackson TEN 97% 22.7 289.7 110.2 114.6 8.0 15.8 77.8 5
Josh Allen NE 95% 34.3 300.0 122.9 98.0 5.7 16.3 76.3 2

Josh Allen has been under 260 passing yards in 7 of his last 8 games against the Patriots, and New England has kept passers under 200 yards in every game this year.

Lamar Jackson should thrive in the passing game, as the Titans allow the 3rd-highest Adj. Comp%. This means Jackson is facing a Titans pass defense that gives up a lot of catchable throws.

Tier 2 | Strong QB1

Player Opponent Confidence Meter Fantasy Points P/G Total Yards/G QB Rate vs Man QB Rate vs Zone CPOE Deep Throw % ADJ Comp % EZ Atts
Jared Goff CAR 94% 27.2 272.3 120.8 102.2 7.1 4.6 82.2 8

Bryce Young DET 90% 27.7 318.3 72.1 107.9 3.9 14.9 74.0 10

Bryce Young has a plus matchup in Week 4 against a Lions team that has allowed 3 passing touchdowns in each game this year.

Despite the loss of weapons, Brock Purdy has a good matchup against the Broncos, who run the 4th-highest rate of man coverage. Purdy ranks in the top 5 in QB rating vs. man coverage.

Tier 3 | Matchup-Driven QB1/High-End QB2 Options

Player Opponent Confidence Meter Fantasy Points P/G Total Yards/G QB Rate vs Man QB Rate vs Zone CPOE Deep Throw % ADJ Comp % EZ Atts
Dak Prescott HOU 89% 25.0 263.0 91.7 101.0 5.0 9.5 78.4 8

Matthew Stafford PHI 87% 21.3 294.3 109.2 81.5 2.0 11.7 72.3 3
Joe Burrow JAX 84% 16.2 193.8 144.4 94.6 3.0 7.8 78.6 5
Jalen Hurts LAR 84% 21.2 235.7 124.9 91.2 5.3 14.5 76.4 6

Dak Prescott sees a bump against the Texans, who allow the 3rd-highest CPOE, meaning Houston allows opposing QBs to complete more difficult throws. Prescott also has a high CPOE of 5.0.

If you like taking betting odds, expect Joe Burrow’s chances of throwing a pick to be high, as the Jaguars have forced an interception in every game this year.

Tier 4 | Volatile QB2 Starters
Player Opponent Confidence Meter Fantasy Points P/G Total Yards/G QB Rate vs Man QB Rate vs Zone CPOE Deep Throw % ADJ Comp % EZ Atts
Kyler Murray MIA 82% 6.0 106.0 — 85.0 2.7 17.6 74.1 0

Sam Darnold LAC 77% 18.1 198.5 42.4 100.4 2.3 6.4 77.3 5

Let’s see if Kyler Murray can take advantage of a good matchup, as Miami has allowed 2 passing touchdowns in all 3 games this season.

I have some concerns with Michael Penix repeating his Week 3 performance against the Saints on the road, as they run the 3rd-highest rate of zone coverage in the league, and Penix struggled against zone last week.

Superman Kirk Cousins could be in for a trap game, as the Chiefs have kept opposing QBs under 210 passing yards in each game and have forced a pick in every game.

Add a touchdown to Bijan Robinson in Week 4, as he faces the Saints, who have allowed a rushing touchdown in every game this year.

While Christian McCaffrey’s receiving work has been good, his rushing is another story. He faces the Broncos, who rank top 2 in MTF/ATT and YACO allowed, meaning McCaffrey should have opportunities to gain extra yards and make defenders miss.

Tier 2 | Near-Elite, Matchup-Proof-ish RB1

Team Player Opponent Confidence Meter FPPG ATT % Off. Snaps % i20% TGT % Route % YPRR MTF/ATT YACO/ATT YBCO/ATT

LAR Kyren Williams PHI 92% 15.8 48 63 61.5 10.5 48.4 1.80 0.37 1.90 3.80

While touchdowns and James Cook haven’t mixed this year, he has scored a touchdown against the Patriots in 3 of his last 4 games.

Kyren Williams could see less work in the passing game, as he faces an Eagles team that has allowed the 2nd-fewest receptions to running backs.

Tier 3 | Borderline RB1s With Minor Concerns

Team Player Opponent Confidence Meter FPPG ATT % Off. Snaps % i20% TGT % Route % YPRR MTF/ATT YACO/ATT YBCO/ATT

TB Bucky Irving GB 88% 11.5 61 64 33.3 15.2 47.5 1.05 0.18 2.20 2.30

Expect the Buccaneers to lean on Bucky Irving, who has a great matchup against the Packers, who have allowed a rushing touchdown in every game.

Look for Aaron Jones to see an uptick in receiving work, as Miami allows the highest YPRR to running backs, meaning there should be opportunities for him to make plays in the receiving game.

JAX Bhayshul Tuten CIN 80% 12.8 50 49 50.0 6.2 33.3 1.24 0.23 2.60 2.20

I have some concerns with Chase Brown this week, as he’ll need to be used in the passing game because the Jaguars have not allowed a running back to rush for over 40 yards in a game.

This could be a good matchup for Chuba Hubbard, as the Lions allow the 3rd-most YBCO, meaning Hubbard should have open running lanes. He’ll need to take advantage because the Lions don’t allow many yards after contact.

Omarion Hampton could be one to avoid with little passing-game value, as the Seattle Seahawks have not allowed a running back to rush for over 55 yards.

If I had to start a Patriots running back, I’m leaning Rhamondre Stevenson, as the Bills have allowed a receiving touchdown to an opposing RB in every game, and Stevenson has been the clear passing-down back.

If Washington can get the ground game going in London, the Colts have allowed two running backs to rush for over 110 yards in 2 games. Jacory Croskey-Merritt, this could be the statement game you need.

Alvin Kamara returns to the starting lineup, but look to sit him, as the Falcons allow the fewest YBCO, meaning they are getting into the opposing backfield quickly and often.

Look for CeeDee Lamb to find the end zone in Week 4, as he faces the Texans, who he has scored the 2nd-most touchdowns against in his career.

Parker Washington should be downgraded a bit, as the Bengals have not allowed an opposing receiver to surpass 65 yards and allow the 3rd-fewest TPRR in the league.

Christian Watson should continue to thrive against the Buccaneers, who allow the 2nd-most yards after catch per reception. Watson has a solid 6.29 YAC/REC.

DeVonta Smith could struggle to show upside this week against the Rams, who haven’t allowed a receiver to surpass 50 yards. However, there’s no denying his opportunity with a 29% target share.

Malik Nabers could also be a fade once again despite his talent and upside. It’s supposed to rain in New Jersey on Sunday, and the Cardinals play the 4th-most zone coverage, which Nabers has struggled against.

Watch the injury reports for Mike Evans and Jalen Coker, as they are ranked lower due to their injuries.

Keenan Allen offers a solid FLEX play in Week 4 against the Commanders in London, as they allow the 5th-highest TPRR, meaning receivers are getting targeted at a high rate. Allen should get his opportunity to produce against a team that allows the most fantasy points to receivers.

Terry McLaurin should be a start if Marcus Mariota plays. In their last 6 games together, McLaurin has averaged 12.5 fantasy points per game.

Hopefully Jalon Daniels can continue to target Emeka Egbuka at his 20% target share, as the Packers have allowed WR1s to score 12 or more fantasy points in every game.

Roman Wilson has real sleeper potential against the Browns, who run the most man coverage in the league. Wilson has been solid against man coverage and is averaging 6 targets per game. I’d expect that to continue despite Michael Pittman Jr. being back on the field.

Chris Bell has some deep sleeper potential against the Vikings if Caleb Douglas is out again this week, as Minnesota runs the most zone coverage in the league and Bell has done well against zone.

Khalil Shakir should not be considered a safe long-shot FLEX play in Week 4, as he has struggled against the Patriots in his career, with just one game over 50 yards.

Kyle Pitts is already hard to trust, but did you know that he has never scored against the Saints in his NFL career?

Mark Andrews’ name value may put him in lineups, but that could be a mistake, as the Titans have not allowed a TE to produce over 25 receiving yards.
